Successful model and actress Olalla Oliveros has left her entertainment career behind to become a Catholic nun. Oliveros, who has modeled and appeared on Spanish TV and film, officially joined the Order of Saint Michael last month.

The former entertainer said that she made the stunning decision after she felt God speaking to her during a transformational experience in Fatima, Portugal, according to Christian Today.

While at the Sanctuary of Fatima, a revered holy site, Oliveros, 36, said she kept visualizing herself as a nun.

At first, she thought the image was absurd, but said that she soon realized it was a true calling from the Lord, describing the experience as an “earthquake” in her life.

So, she decided to enter the semi-cloistered Order of Saint Michael in May, trading in her on-screen accolades to fully serve God.

“The Lord is never wrong,” she told the National Catholic Register. “He asked if I will follow him, and I could not refuse.”

The move is stunning, especially considering that Oliveros was reportedly recently offered a lead movie role that she decided to turn down.

Oliveros isn’t the first entertainer to trade it all in and fully worship God, as Christian Today noted that Colombian model Amada Rosa Pérez did the same in 2005.

And TheBlaze has covered Mother Dolores Hart in the past, a former actress who left Hollywood in 1963 and never turned back.
