A “Good Day New York” anchor was called out by his co-anchor after he got a little too excited about his female colleague’s bikini body during a live report at New Jersey’s Action Park.
WNYW-TV reporter Anna Gilligan traveled to the park to try out the new Tarzan rope swing for a fun, light-hearted segment when anchor Greg Kelly, the son of former NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly, started making people a little uncomfortable.
After trying out the Tarzan rope swing, Gilligan emerged from the water and retrieved a microphone and earpiece to conclude the segment. Just as she put her earpiece in, Kelly commented, “Nice bathing suit.”
Kelly’s co-anchor warned him to be appropriate and told viewers she was trying to keep him “in check.” Then when Gilligan said she was going to put her clothes back on, Kelly jokingly objected.
“Hold on a second! Not so fast, Anna,” he said.
Kelly also voiced his disapproval when the camera cut away from Gilligan standing in her bikini.
“Anna, go dry off, we’ll see you in a little bit,” Kelly’s co-anchor, Rosanna Scotto, finally said before scolding her colleague. “What is wrong with you?”
