A neighborhood in Michigan is being warned to steer clear of a pack of wild dogs that has already killed once.
Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel told the Saginaw News the dogs were spotted in the area near Germania Platz and near Green Point Nature Center. Though it is unclear how long they have been collecting on the streets, the sheriff told the newspaper a 65-pound domesticated dog was killed Saturday.
“A city resident saw three dogs attack and kill his neighbor’s dog,” Federspiel said.
“We’re very concerned about children that are playing in the area. Make sure you’re supervising your children if you’re living in that area or in any area because these dogs can travel fast,” he added in a news conference video.

The local humane society is trying to trap the animals safely.
“These dogs should not be approached,” Elaine Thompson said in a news release, according to the Saginaw News. “If you see the dogs, go inside and call 911. If you witness an empty trap in your neighborhood do not disturb it. If you see a trap containing an animal do not attempt to remove the animal. Call 911 and an animal control officer will be dispatched.”
