Secretary of State John Kerry was photographed on Thursday doing something that has raised eyebrows in the past — kiteboarding in Nantucket as America faces crises abroad and at home.

TheBlaze once again obtained exclusive photographs of the 70-year-old head of the State Department kiteboarding:

Last August, Kerry was photographed kiteboarding as Egypt descended into chaos, with more than 700 being reported killed in less than a week.

This year, America still faces key decisions in the increasingly tumultuous Middle East — including how to respond to ISIS’ rapidly expanding power in Iraq — but we have an additional crisis on our southern border.

Tens of thousands of refugees have flooded into the United States from Central America over the past year, and critics have accused the Obama administration of failing to work with our southern neighbors to halt the flow of illegals.

Many have also asked why Kerry hasn’t done more to secure the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who has been imprisoned in Mexico since April 1 after he says he made a wrong turn in San Ysidro. The White House has referred questions about the matter to the State Department, and Kerry says he is monitoring the situation.
