A Kansas man is accused of lacing his girlfriend’s pancake with an abortion inducing medication, ultimately killing the unborn child.

According to The Wichita Eagle, Scott Bollig, 30, will stand trial on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated battery.

The 30-year-old will be arranged on September 9 after prosecutors provided enough evidence during a two-day preliminary hearing to move the case to trial.

Last week, WaKeeney police chief Terry Eberle testified that Bollig previously admitted lacing lacing girlfriend Naomi Abbot’s food with the drug in late January, the Eagle reported. He allegedly told investigators that he purchased five pills over the Internet for $60.

An investigation began after Abbot’s pregnancy ended and she told an officer that she was afraid her boyfriend might have attempted to sneak something in her food to terminate it.
