Glenn Beck on Thursday told his audience he has been “following a path” for about five years that “all revolves around being a better man.”

“I am a man who is in fundamental transformation, and I am grateful for it,” Beck said on his radio program. “I ask for your prayers and I ask for your willingness to be open-minded with me for a while.”

Beck said longtime listeners won’t be “surprised by this journey,” but that a new phase is beginning.

“What has begun is the things that I have seen coming for a long time: the anti-semitism, the hatred, the split between us that is The Coming Insurrection, and I have not had a solution for you,” Beck said. “I’ve had little solutions, but I have not had a solution for you. And I’ve been telling you, ‘We’re passing all the exits,’ and that has made me, more and more, withdraw. And mainly because I know the answer and it’s — I don’t want to do it.”

Beck said he has now accepted where he needs to stand, saying, “we have to do the things that are not for us, but for others.”

“If we can get the Jews to worry about the Christians, and the Christians to worry about the Jews, and the atheists to worry about the Christians, and Christians and the Jews to worry about the atheists, we’re protecting those inalienable rights for all men,” Beck said. “If we look at our rights last and our responsibilities first, we win. We win. The world changes, period. We have to start treating people the way we want to be treated ourselves.”

Beck said he is considering what “40 days and 40 nights of service” would do for the nation.

“We need to take care of a few things,” he said. “We need to take care of our vets, so we’re raising funds on Mercury One. But I want to have a day of service, maybe on 9/12, for our vets. Second thing, Israel is in need of very specific things. … The third thing we have to pay attention to is the crisis in Jordan and in Iraq. Nobody is talking about the Christians there. We have to get this word out to our churches. They are being killed.”

Beck said he has asked Mercury One, the charity he founded, to “start putting together a service project, and one that doesn’t end.”

“This is it, game time,” Beck said. “Everything I’ve been talking about in the last five years, now it begins. And so it begins. This is it.”

Beck said he doesn’t know how exactly the journey will end, but he does know, “where there is an injustice anywhere in the world, it is an injustice everywhere.”

“When there are people suffering, if we turn our backs, we will suffer,” Beck continued. “We will never ever regain our justice in our country if we don’t retain our soul and our heart. That’s my simple goal. That’s what I want as a dad. That’s what I want as an American.”
