First, it was a Staten Island man. Then, it was a man in a New York City subway station. Now, it appears a pregnant woman was the latest victim of a banned chokehold tactic used by a New York City Police Department officer.

According to the New York Daily News, 27-year-old Rosan Miller, who is seven months pregnant, and her family were confronted by an officer for grilling on a public sidewalk over the weekend. The city does not allow sidewalks to be blocked by grills or other items.

The incident ended with Miller getting a summons to court for disorderly conduct, while her brother and husband face criminal charges, the Daily News reported.

The situation has come under fire with photographs that appear to show the officer with his arm around Miller’s neck from behind while the woman’s daughter watched from the front porch.

“This was all over a grill,” former city councilman Charles Barron told the Daily News. “This is about grilling in front of her house.”

The family and supporters held a press conference Monday, which included photos taken from the incident:

“We want him out of our community,” Barron said, according to New York Magazine, about this specific officer. “This is not the first time he has harassed us.”

New York Magazine pointed out that the finer details surrounding the incident are not known because video of the whole situation has not been released. The New York Post reported that cellphone video was shot by a bystander.

Earlier this month, a Staten Island man was placed in an apparent chokehold while resisting arrest, said several times that he couldn’t breathe and later died at a local hospital. Afterward, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said officers need retraining in the proper use of force.
