The Associated Press tweeted early Tuesday that members of Congress were “fall[ing] over each other to support Israel” while “much of the world watches Gaza war in horror.”

A few hours later, the AP “revised” the tweet.

The AP did not say why precisely it revised its original tweet, which, as Twitchy noted, was taken from the opening paragraphs of one of its news stories that was also subsequently altered. Plenty of Twitter users, on the other hand, jumped on the AP for editorializing.

This is the second time in two weeks the wire service has garnered attention for one of its tweets.
