Huge Pro-Palestine Rally in D.C. Reportedly Gets ‘Ugly’ After Protester Arrest; Pro-Israel Demonstrators Said to Have Been Evacuated by Police for Safety

After one protester was reportedly arrested Saturday during a huge pro-Palestine, anti-Israel rally in Washington, D.C., police apparently had to fend off some angry, rowdy demonstrators.

M. Scott Mahaskey, director of photography for Politico, has been Tweeting photographs of what he’s seeing:

Dan Merica, a CNN associated producer, reported on a pro-Israel counter-protest, noting that after police widened a fenced-off area for the pro-Israel faction, “(f)or safety, pro-Israel protestors were escorted away from White House in police vans. They were not arrested.”
