President Barack Obama’s approval rating has hit a new low of 40 percent, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Tuesday.
Only 14 percent of individuals approve of the split Congress, the poll also concluded.
“We’re in the summer of our discontent,” Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted the survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff, told NBC News. “Americans are cranky, unhappy… It is with everything going on the world.”
