Planned Parenthood Counselor’s Controversial Advice for a ‘Teen’ About Horse Whips, Sex Shops and More

Live Action, a pro-life advocacy group, has released the fourth installment in its ongoing undercover video series into the controversial advice some Planned Parenthood clinics are giving American youths.

In the latest clip, an unnamed counselor at Planned Parenthood Eden Prairie Clinic in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, tells an undercover investigator posing as a 15-year-old girl about local sex stores and describes the “submissive” behavior some couples engage in.

“I would say anything within the sexual world is normal as long as it’s consensual between the two people,” the counselor said, though she did offer some caveats.

Throughout the clip, the counselor seemed cautious about the investigator’s age. And after the faux patient noted that her boyfriend had mentioned “Fifty Shades of Grey,” a book that features intense sexual themes, the counselor did say that the actions presented in the text could cross a line for some and that such acts might be too advanced for a 16 year old.

But she said that the main issue is safety and whether sexual acts are consensual and, despite her initial qualms, didn’t rule more controversial ones out entirely.

“So, if he wants to try something that’s physical, that is gonna cause you harm or pain, and you’re okay with that, that’s a completely different thing than if he wants to try something to do that you’re not okay with or that you feel pressure to,” she said. “Role play to the extreme of submissive, um, behavior, um, is pretty extreme.”

The counselor continued, “At the age of 16, I don’t know that it’s something that I would recommend, um, but I guess if you’re both of the same age, with the same expectations, then I think that’s okay.”

The advice went on to include the mention of local sex shops, which she said “are legal,” though she noted that it’s “unusual” for 16-year-olds to tell her about using the; it is unclear why the counselor said the investigator was 16, as she introduced herself as being 15 at the start of the Live Action footage.

Later in the exchange, the counselor also noted that some patients come into the Planned Parenthood clinic with rope burns and markings on their breasts from clamps.

“You know, um, I mean, you can get a horse whip. I wouldn’t recommend it, but I’m sure you can,” she joked. “So, I mean, it just kind of depends on what you guys are looking for.”

Live Action president Lila Rose decried the counselor’s advice in a statement about the video.

“The new video lays bare Planned Parenthood’s sexual ethos, even for kids: abusive, demeaning, and violent sexual behavior is ‘normal’ and ‘OK’ as long as the recipient believes that she’s consented to it,” she said.

This video follows similar footage released from a clinic in Oregon, two Colorado clinics and another Planned Parenthood in Indiana giving some equally shocking guidance about porn and “kinky sex.”
