You know how the hair stands up on the back of your neck when you think someone’s watching you?
One Boston woman got that feeling, and when she set up a video camera to confirm or dispel her fears, she captured some disturbing footage.
The 37-year-old woman, who lives in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, told the Boston Globe that she had been seeing signs of a peeper, and that her boyfriend had confronted a man skulking in the bushes near her apartment.
She said the man told her boyfriend he was looking for a dog before running off.
So she set up a camera by her window, and just after midnight on Wednesday, the camera captured a person’s face peering in.
“It is really concerning because the brush covering my window is so tall and thick that is takes someone with great determination and audacity to get past it,” the woman told the Globe.
Boston Police are investigating, asking that anyone with information on the man seen in the video call (617) 343-4256.
The woman is shaken up by the incident.
“It’s not fair that now I can’t keep my blinds open to let some sunlight in or sleep with the windows open to let in a nighttime breeze,” she said. “This is not the way things should be.”
