Fox News contributor Stephen Hayes turned to Twitter Tuesday to announce that he was told he’s on the federal government’s terror watch list.
“Just informed I’m on the @DHSgov terrorist watch list. Explains why I have been subject to extra screening each of my recent trips,” Hayes, who is also a senior writer at the conservative Weekly Standard, tweeted to his approximately 164,000 followers.

Hayes then said he attempted to file a redress with the Department of Homeland Security, but noted the form could not be processed.
Naturally, when I went to file a "redress" form on the @DHSgov website, as instructed, the form could not be processed. #limbo

The Fox News contributor added that he suspected his placement on the list was because of a flight to Turkey in late July.
I suspect I made the list b/c of concerns about #Syria. I took a one-way flight to Turkey in late July (return flight was Athens). @DHSgov
