What Glenn Beck Says Will Mean the ‘Beheading of Many More’

Glenn Beck says America’s “bigotry of low expectations” in the Islamic world is despicable, and it will “be the death of many, many more homosexuals; it’s going to mean the mutilation of many, many more women; it’s going to mean the slavery of many more children, [and] the death and the beheading of many more.”

“I was thinking about this this morning as I got up, and I was looking at the news and everything that’s going on,” Beck said on his radio program Monday. “I thought to myself, ‘Here’s the real problem here: the real problem is we have such low expectations of people in … the Islamic world.'”

Beck was shocked that the recent beheading of a woman in an Oklahoma food plant was called “workplace violence” by MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry. He added that many of the same people who downplay a Muslim beheading a former coworker are the first to condemn a Christian for making a controversial comment.

“We have such low expectations that we’re not offended that they’re stoning homosexuals to death,” Beck said. But if a Christian in America says homosexuality is wrong, there is absolute outrage and the commentary is “they should know better.”

“You know what you’re saying by ‘it’s a different culture?'” Beck remarked. “You don’t expect very much from them. They’re not real people. They just have a different way of looking at things, because they’re kind of like cute little kitty cats or something.”

“Our values are so screwed up and so upside down right now that we don’t even know what we’re doing,” Beck continued. “We’re arguing about, ‘Well, I didn’t get a free condom.’ I mean, this is how outrageous life is right now. ‘I can’t get free condoms, and I’m not getting free everything. I just want to go to the best university in the world and not have to pay or do anything… I want free birth control, and if that doesn’t work, I want to you perform an abortion for me for free…’ This is the mindset!”

“Meanwhile, there are people who are actually struggling for their lives. There are people who are starving to death,” Beck added. “We’re sickening. We’re sickening with what this society is pushing, what this society is complaining about.”

“How about we have some common sense? How about we try to find the things that we actually agree on? All people of any religion worth its salt believe in this: be the best person you can be,” Beck said. “Be the best most charitable, kindest, most humble, most forgiving. Ask for forgiveness, serve other people. It’s the best way to serve God.”

“If you have those things in your heart, I’m willing to go into battle with you on anything,” Beck said. “But … if we’re sitting here arguing about women’s rights, and you want to condemn my faith on women’s rights when we’ve got a planet that is going into horrid, horrid oppression — I mean, imagine. You know what we’re turning into? We’re turning into the Poles. The smoke is billowing out of the chimney and we’re like, ‘Geez, have you seen the potholes…?’ They’re burning Jews right down the street!”

Beck once again praised HBO’s Bill Maher for speaking out about how Muslims are treated differently than people of other religions, saying Maher makes “absolute sense” and is “absolutely right.”

“He has … been one of the only people that will actually stand up and say, ‘Hey, there’s a difference between Christians, even crazy Christians, and those in the Middle East,” Beck said. “We are saying almost the same thing.”
