Not only was GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s comments on Hillary Clinton’s bathroom breaks and loss to President Barack Obama in 2008 misogynistic, it was racist, too, according to pro-Hillary PAC head David Brock.

“What we’re gonna see, and what we got a taste of last night, was the misogynistic attacks on Hillary Clinton, which also had a racial appeal, as well,” Brock told MSNBC’s Alex Wagner. “The idea of a black rapist basically using the ‘schlong’ to defeat Hillary. I think that’s what that really was about.”

Brock was referring to the controversial comments Trump made while at a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan Monday. At the rally, Trump said Clinton’s brief absence from the debate due to an overlong restroom visit was “disgusting.”

And on her 2008 presidential loss to Obama, Trump said, “she was favored to win, and she got schlonged. She lost.”

In a tweet Tuesday, Clinton’s campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri addressed Trump’s comments by saying that she was not going to address the comments.

“We are not responding to Trump but everyone who understands the humiliation this degrading language inflicts on all women should,” Palmieri tweeted with the hashtag, “#imwithher.”

Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Jeb Bush also addressed the comments — but said Clinton was going to “love” the attention she would get in the aftermath.

“This will enhance her victimology status. This is what she loves doing,” Bush said. “Trump is not going to be president because he says these things and turns people off. I mean, for crying out loud, we’re two days before Christmas. Lighten up, man.”
