‘2016: Obama‘ Filmmaker Tells Beck About the ’Roots‘ of Obama’s Anti-Colonialism

Readers of The Blaze have, by now, likely heard that author Dinesh D’Souza is releasing a hard-hitting documentary about President Barack Obama. On Friday evening, Glenn Beck invited D’Souza on the set to discuss his film,“2016: Obama’s America,” and explain the “roots” of Obama’s rage against what he deems “colonialist powers.” In this instance, Obama places the U.S. in such a category.

Dubbed by Beck as “the only man who truly understands Obama” because he himself had an “anti-colonialist upbringing,” D‘Souza dissects the president’s hard-and-fast beliefs with facts difficult to refute.

 

In the second clip below, D’Souza explains why the president believes he is doing the “right thing” by bringing America down to size. “The genius of Obama,” according to the author, is that he can do exactly what he wants, but put it in terms that sound innocuous to the American public.

Obama also has “certificates of racial absolution,” said D’Souza, meaning that he can come across as a figure who transcends the kind of petty, race-driven dialogue often perpetuated by the likes of Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.  This, in turn, brings about a “sycophantic following” among the left.

    Holder and Obama knows if they do not steal this election Obama will not get elected. That is why they do not want voter ID and want as many illegals in this country as they can get. They are pitting one race against the other to destroy this nation. If they steal the vote then they will be well on their way to implement policy that will wound America and make it harder to keep this great ship from listing to sink.

    This evil man in our White House is nothing but an usurper who has no eligibility to be there. Now it is up to Congress, who we have elected to get him out. They allowed him to get there without being properly vetted, so they can get him out. Holder will have to go in order to get Obama out. Holder is impeding Justice and this is a crime. Get him out and all those who impede that should be called out as well. We have no time for these people to take time off and leave their jobs to vacation or otherwise. These times and trials are why we have a Congress. Do know you are fighting for your jobs as well because if this keeps going, Obama will find a way to get rid of all of Congress too. This man is a danger to the American Way of life.

      What money, my husband was an owner operator truck driver in the carter years, gas prices and rationing were destroying the economy and our business, but crime was profitable, someone stole his rig and we used insurance money and my going to work to pay off the debt rather than file bankruptcy, IRS didn’t find the debt as a dependent and worked out a payment plan and each year more was taken for penalties & interest than we paid, we borrowed the money to pay off the total debt.An accident and his heart put an end to our digging out. Now he‘s passed on to a reward and I’m living on Soc. Sec. and in college to pay it off. Haven’t had a vacation for nearly 30 years. Money where my mouth is? I’d love to finish college and make enough to pay off debt and my mortgage. Don’t want the IRS taking it all again. Even for healthcare.
      How much do you give back over minimum to them? Nobody’s stopping you.Money where mouth is?

    Africa is fee thanks to anti colonialism. But as Obama’s brother said in his book they went too far in translating that to anti white and kicking all the whites out of Kenya. That means they kicked out all those with the education and capital to grow their economy. South Africa, Korea, and Singapore did not and they are pretty strong. We did not kick out all the British,mainly because we were British. And we assimilated immigrant into our society. A strong America is not bad. If America is not strong then you will have china replace Europe as the colonizer.

      Ahhh…no you are not correct. Anyone who done reading ‘outside the box’ of typical stuff that colleges or high school programs teach know that there are those who believe and embrace “colonialism” world view. This world view of “colonialism’ is about embracing a negative view of America and teaches those who embrace it to be negative in their views. What is disturbing is that so few people are well read enough to know about these propaganda teachings that twist the views of the students who don’t have the skills to see through this stuff. Obama has said that while in college he sought out the Marxists etc. This is where this colonialism views come from — they have been developed and hone for decades in communist / Marxist nations and embraced by like thinking professors.

      That is the way many people feel. The problem is there are only turds on the left, but they are lying, deceiving and those who will steal this election if they can figure out any way to do this. He has the overall population of blacks fooled into thinking he is on their side. Seventy percent of the Latinos are being brought here to war with the blacks so Obama can get those out of the way, and he thinks both groups will be turned on the whites.     i’m watching this episode and was so disgusted i had to break to write this. i’m really sick and tired of weasels. maybe dinesh went out on a limb to make this movie and to write what he does, but c’mon man, bho does hate this country; he did not take the oath of office as was represented; he did not have the right to return the bust of churchill (no one said this). for the acts dinesh enumerates alone make him a traitor, guilty of treason which, if you add it up MAKE HIM A BAD AND DANGEROUS MAN.

Even if you don‘t like all of Romney’s past or policies he is a 1000% better than Obama… less government, cut taxes, repeal Obamacare (that now has been calculated by CBO to cost $2.4 trillion), cut spending and get debt under control and put people to work… by Keystone pipeline, open drilling back, cut federal spending (waste and fraud), decrease taxes for businesses so they can begin to hire, and so much more.       He frightens me to much for me to feel sympathy for him. He is signing all of the executive orders to allow the take over of infrastructure (communications, Posse comitus(spelling), internment camps, etc) during an emergency and he is the one who decides what constitues an emergency.
      The was the orders read, he can decide that not winning reelection is an emergency, declare Martial Law and we will have a Civil War.

      I would recommend that before you have sympathy for anyone who embraces these doctrines discussed on the program and in the movie that you sit right down and list all of the harm done to you, your family, and the nation by such beliefs. If you don’t know anything about the Marxist propaganda of “colonialism’ then read some books on the subject and read the background of the authors.

      Those who embrace the Marxist doctrines/propaganda of ‘colonialism’ have zero sympathy for those outside their circle. “Sympathy” is not part of their propaganda. Think Che’ — the Marxist revolutionary who while in Cuba killed prisoners for the fun of it. No sympathy for others.

      There is a huge difference between the anti-colonialism of today and the revolution our forefathers fought for. Our founding was based on the principle of self-determination. We demanded that Britain leave us alone to chart our own course. We did not seek the destruction of the British Empire, nor did we demand reparations. We simply demanded that they leave and let us be.

      The anti-colonialists of today demand that America and Europe pay reparations for supposed evils we have committed. They also demand the destruction and diminishment of our countries to supposedly give them room to grow. They wish to dominate us and the world because somehow that is their due. They have been led to believe they are just because they are poor.

      This is not a philosophy to base a civilization on. They are not looking to chart their own course. They are looking to gain and force us to pay for it. The typical leftist mindset. It will not work and it will lead to strife and hatred across the globe.

Obviously the whole African continent is free today due to the independence movements and anti-colonial sentiment in both Africa and in Europe. These liberation didn’t really start until the 60s. Apartheid continued until the early 90s.

      Blazers – if you have ever researched colonial history there were incredible abuses. There are still cultural unities and alliances (ex. West Africa’s relationship with France), but still many hard feelings.

      Dougral Supports Israel – modern anti-colonialism is born out of the colonialism of the 20th century. Would you really argue that the independence of the United States is that different from the 20th century independence ?? Don’t be silly. Can you not see beyond your own nose?

      @cmonnow Independence is independence. The modern anti-colonial movement is as much about hatred and revenge as it is about independence. They hate the West because of abuses both real and imagined. They also hate us for our success and claim they are held down because we have all the wealth. Its very similar to the attitudes that Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright preach to blacks here. Hate and envy spew from their mouths constantly.

      The reality is that corrupt government is what holds the 3rd world back and saps their wealth. There is a lot of natural and human resource waiting to be tapped in those countries. Used wisely it could propel many of them to first world status. But as long as people like Kim Jong Un, Fidel Castro, and Hugo Chavez hold sway in the 3rd world, they will remain poor.

      John, Governor Romney is quite a bit left of center on the continuum of political thought, as is the Republican Party establishment as a whole. President is well left of Romney as is most of the Democrat Party. Both Parties are Progressive left.

However, if you choose to think that people who love this country and our God given freedoms are retards, just remember one thing: We have ‘****** strength’. (You guys, girls, not much of a difference for libs,progs,marxists etal.; don’t have set to stand up to us toe to toe, eye to eye. No gov’t or dictator gave me life, but they can take it.That’s a big difference between freedom loving people and blind sheep: We like to give freely, you think you‘re entitled to take through gov’t. History has proven that socialism, marxism etc. doesn’t work,(if you actually respect and care for individuals). It‘s really hard to understand how you can’t get something so simple. Good luck Bro!

      @Bowlz Okay first why all the hate for Marxist philosophy? You say history has shown that socialism and communism, specifically Marxism, will not work yet there are successful mixed socialist/socialist countries in existence today (Holland, Norway, Canada, and Denmark are good examples). Also there has never been a pure and true Marxist state because the existence of a state in a Marxist society is in itself not Marxist. And what is really so bad about the Marxist philosophy? Having a society that has “a classless, stateless system based on common ownership and free-access, superabundance and maximum freedom for individuals to develop their own capacities and talents” is evil and bad? Now I‘m not advocating for the formation of such society presently because for one thing I don’t think humanity in general is even remotely ready because of our present level of technology and because I think an Voluntaristic society would be better fitting for humanity in general (I also have some issues with parts of his philosophy regarding greed but w/e) but I don’t think Marxism is deserving of the false criticism you and other such people give it by saying that it has proven not to work, when in principle it never has even existed. As far as the election goes, voting is pointless and a futile process. It “gives sanction to evil” and all it really is is the state bribing you with what they have taken from you (i.e. taxes). So I chose not to participate and so should the rest of you.

    Before I saw this segment I had discounted buying D‘Souza’s book. After hearing him make the case on GBTV I downloaded it to my Nook. I think it will be a very interesting read.
