‘Duck Dynasty’ Stars Korie and Willie Robertson ‘Thrilled’ to Announce That They’re Adopting a Son

“Duck Dynasty” star Korie Robertson took to social media on Sunday to announce that she and husband Willie Robertson are in the process of adopting another child.

“We’ve had lots of questions about the cute kid popping up in our photos lately,” Robertson wrote on Instagram. “We are excited to be in the process of adopting a new son!”

Robertson, who did not name the child, included a photo of him along with her other kids, saying that he has been with the reality TV stars since May, but that they held off on making the process public to give the young boy time to acclimate.

“We wanted some privacy and time for him and our family to bond before telling the world,” she wrote. “It’s a bit of an adjustment coming into this big, crazy family.”

Roberson said that she appreciates “prayers and support” from the public.

Korie and Willie Robertson already have three biological children, Bella, Sadie and John Luke, an adopted son named Will and a foster daughter named Rebecca.

Robertson, who recently released a book about parenting called “Strong and Kind,” told The Church Boys podcast this past fall that she’s hoping to help inspire parents to instill character in their children — something that she believes is badly needed in today’s day and age.

“I think character is about who you are when nobody’s looking,” she said. “It’s about how you live your life, how you go through your day and how you live with the values and virtues you know are important.”

Robertson also talked politics, saying that America has “turned away from God” and that the ramifications have been profound, saying that the decision to separate from God is leading to confusion among the masses.

“We’ve turned away from God. We’ve said to God, basically, ‘No thank you. I think we know better,’” said Robertson, author of the new book “Strong and Kind.” “And … it’s showing in the way that our young people are growing up and the respect that our young people have for authority, and the way that people are acting towards each other.”
