It’s winter, and in many parts of the country, that means scraping insane amounts of ice off vehicle windows. But people in Buffalo, New York, might need more than an ice scraper.

That’s what one driver, who had parked along Lake Erie, discovered Monday after coming back to find his car literally frozen in place.

A lake effect snow band dumped about two inches of snow per hour on the region, forcing schools to close and resulting in near whiteout conditions on the roads, WKBW-TV reported.

The “ice car” went viral soon after WKBW-TV aired the photo. The car’s owner, 24-year-old Justin Yelen, said he left his vehicle there overnight because he was having drinks with friends and didn’t want to drive.

Yelen, who admittedly has no idea how he’s going to get all the ice off his car, told WKBW-TV, “I hope summer comes soon.” Asked whether there could be damage to the car underneath all the ice, he said he hopes there isn’t, but “there probably is.”
