Bad news for Hillary Clinton in Iowa as the caucus rapidly approaches.
A new CNN/ORC poll conducted Jan. 15-20 among 280 likely caucus goers shows the former secretary of state trailing rival Bernie Sanders by 8 points.
The Vermont senator had 51 percent of support, compared to Clinton’s 43 percent.
For context, the last CNN/ORC poll conducted Nov. 28 – Dec. 6 showed Clinton with a wide lead. At the time she was polling at 54 percent while Sanders was at 36 percent.
The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus six points. The Iowa caucus is on Feb. 1.
