Despite inclement weather, thousands of pro-lifers gathered in Washington, D.C., Friday to protest the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.

This year’s March took place on the 43rd anniversary of Roe.

Participants in the annual March for Life, the largest pro-life event in the world, shared their reasons for marching on social media with the hashtag #WhyWeMarch.

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, tweeted that the protesters were going through “‪#SnowvWade” to promote an “insulting message.”
