The communications director for House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) was quick to make a key point Tuesday night as Republican front-runner delivered his victory speech.
After Trump boasted to the Florida crowd that “Paul Ryan called me the other day,” Ryan’s chief communications director Brendan Buck turned to Twitter to note the billionaire was the one who actually requested the call.
Ryan’s office said earlier this month that the two spoke over the phone to discuss a “bold conservative policy agenda” the speaker would like to present the American people in 2016.
