Video footage shows a group of protesters outside of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s Saturday Arizona rally crying out against a vehicle as its driver attempted to plow through their ranks.
The video, which was shot by the Arizona Republic and posted onto its Facebook page, depicts an angry crowd of protesters lambasting the vehicle and its driver for pushing forward through the immense crowd that gathered to protest against Trump’s rally in Arizona.
“That’s attempted murder!” a woman can be heard shouting through the fray. “That’s attempted murder!”
“Make sure you’re taking pictures,” someone can be heard saying as the frenzied woman replies, “I know!”
As the vehicle drives away, a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputy can be clearly seen shrugging his shoulders at the protesters as the woman shouts out that it his “your responsibility” for making sure that people did not get run over by the car. The woman can then be seen whipping out her cellphone. Another officer can then be seen as he says “No more cars” while pointing behind him to other vehicles gathered there.
Another clip from the same Trump protest shows officers arresting a protester who was tied to a car blocking the road to Trump’s rally in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The clip, which was posted to Facebook by Blue Lives Matter, includes the caption, “Well, looks like Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputies don’t mess around.” The woman screaming at the end of this clip appears to be the same woman from the Arizona Republic’s clip.
