Trump Refers to Elizabeth Warren as ‘the Indian’

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is seemingly now referring to Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren as “the Indian” after she called the billionaire businessman a “loser.”

When asked during a Monday press conference in Washington, D.C., about the Democratic senator’s recent Twitter tirade against him, Trump made a face and said, “You mean the Indian?”

“The problem with the country right now is that it’s so divided and people like Elizabeth Warren need to get their act together or it’s going to stay divided, and that includes Hillary [Clinton] and probably includes me, it includes everybody,” Trump said. “This country has to get together because we’re in serious trouble.”

Trump’s comments during the press conference at the Old Post Office Pavilion, which will soon be the Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., was the latest addition in the recent war between him and Warren. Earlier Monday she went after Trump in a series of tweets in which she referred to him as a “loser” and a “serious threat” who will “tear apart an America that was built on values like decency, community and concern for our neighbors.”

Warren’s attack on Trump’s favorite social media network came just one week after she published a Facebook post in which she called for everyone, on either side of the political aisle, to “say No More Donald.”

And Monday wasn’t the first time Trump reacted to Warren — in an interview with the New York Times following Warren’s “No More Donald” Facebook post, the business mogul referred to Warren’s claimed heritage and argued that her “whole life was based on a fraud.”

“I think it’s wonderful because the Indians can now partake in the future of the country,” Trump said. “She’s got about as much Indian blood as I have. Her whole life was based on a fraud. She got into Harvard and all that because she said she was a minority.”
