‘Hangover’ Star Says Trump Brings Out ‘Hatred & Evil’ in Some People, but Is ‘a Lot Less Dangerous Than Ted Cruz’

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Donald Trump may bring out “evil and hatred” in some of his supporters, but it’s Texas Sen. Ted Cruz who is the more dangerous of the two Republican presidential candidates, according to “National Treasure” star Justin Bartha.

Speaking to TheBlaze Thursday afternoon while he encouraged Brooklyn College students to register to vote — and then cast their vote for Democratic presidential contender Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders — the Hollywood actor referred to Trump as a “hilarious dude” even though he would definitely never vote for the billionaire businessman.

“I think Donald Trump is a really funny guy, and I think he brings out some hatred and evil in people that probably already have it, but I think he’s a lot less dangerous than Ted Cruz,” Bartha told TheBlaze. “I think you should all get out there, and whether you’re a Hillary [Clinton] fan or a Bernie fan, I think that they probably push our country in a better direction than some of the closed-off points of view of Ted Cruz.”

“Donald Trump is incredibly entertaining, and I hope he sticks around for a while, because it makes for a good show,” the actor added.

Yet while Bartha contended that Trump brought some humor to the 2016 presidential election, he did liken the billionaire businessman to the “ultimate product of capitalism run amok.”

“[Sanders] is out there reminding us that the system is skewed toward a tiny amount of incredibly wealthy people, and Donald Trump encapsulates that perfectly,” he said.

Bartha was joined by “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star Danny DeVito as the pair of Hollywood stars stumped for Sanders with a gathering of college students Thursday.
