3 ICE Officers Shot in Calif. While Serving Warrants

Three federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were shot Thursday morning in Petaluma, Calif. while serving high-risk federal warrants, Fox News reported. One suspect is in custody.
The officers involved were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, KGO-TV reported. The warrants were related to an ongoing criminal investigation.
According to KCRA-TV, agents appeared to be serving the warrants at a home behind a hotel around 4:30 a.m. local time. Guests at the hotel reported hearing gunshots and were instructed to stay in their rooms. An all-clear was given around 6 a.m.
At least one officer was believed to have been airlifted from the scene.
Petaluma is approximately 40 miles north of San Francisco.
In an unrelated incident, an ICE agent was killed by a single shot Wednesday night in his home near Los Angeles. The agent’s 14-year-old son has been taken into custody.

As to my status, I am born, raised American. I am just curious as they do not mention any success in the serving of the warrant. Did they capture a perp or is he running free? I not longer trust the police to use good judgement and I am particularly distrustful of Federal agents who seem to shoot first and ask questions later. Too many examples this year alone. The fact that ICE has repeatedly failed to enforce Immigration laws makes the lack of info in the article more suspicious.

Many warrants are of the no-knock vareity and those serving such warrants should be shot upon entering a house without allowing the occupant to see the warrant in qeustion. The “law” enforcement agencies of which there are too many to even count now (in Conn. they have state environmental police) almost all daily violate the rights of citizens and you support that. Whenever they kick a door in to serve a warrant, they risk “getting smoked” by the inhabitants. They should knock, announce and then watch all the exits. The person the warrant has been issued for has not been convicted of anything. I am proficient with all types of weapons. A slingshot can also be useful. I don’t hate law enforcement. I hate selective enforcement, politically motivated enforcement and infringement of the rights as outlined in the constitution. Of courser you probably feel that is outdated and not required as long as there are dozens of agencies to keep you safe, even from yourself.
