‘57 States’: Palin Fires Back on Facebook at MSM’s Gaffe Hypocrisy

You would expect the liberal blogs to do it. And they did. They took a minor verbal gaffe by Sarah Palin and blew it up in big headlines. But then the MSM started to hit it too. We posted an AP report yesterday that did just that:
Sarah Palin is drawing criticism from around the world after declaring that the United States has to stand with “our North Korean allies.”
Palin’s gaffe, made Wednesday during an interview on Glenn Beck’s syndicated radio show, was quickly corrected by her host. But it drew immediate fire from liberal bloggers, who cited it as an example of the 2008 vice presidential candidate’s lack of foreign policy expertise.
Newspapers in Asia and Europe are repeating the criticism. The Times of India says Palin “did it again,” while London’s Daily Mail says she “may want to brush up on her geography.”
I was incredulous that they believed this to be a story. At the very end they had to begrudgingly acknowledge that it was clearly no big deal:
The conservative U.S. website The Weekly Standard came to Palin’s defense, pointing out that “she correctly identified North Korea as our enemy literally eight seconds before the mix-up.”
But now Palin has responded with a brilliant Facebook post that eviscerates the MSM hypocrisy in play.
My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…
Palin notes that those are all links to Obama gaffes. She didn’t have time to start on Biden.
Read the rest of Palin’s Facebook broadside here.
And here’s the clip that started all of this:

Posted on November 26, 2010 at 11:28amWay to go Sarah. You pointed out just how much the media are hypocrite‘s by them not making a big story out of Obama’s remarks. And to include the links to each was brilliant. Left them no place to hide.

There many eligible conservative people ready and able to meet this challenge to remove America’s #1 problem from office in 2012. This is the main goal and then to put the progressive ideology to sleep for another 100 years! She is a great campaign fund raiser for the conservative party(s) but she would be to big of a distratction inorder for the conservatives to “clean house” in 2012.

Amen to all you said, couldn’t agree more…I’ve noticed at other conservative sites many are finally waking up to what you and others have stated, I know one thing, I am way past Palined-Out…if she doesn’t have attention all the time, she isn’t happy, it is getting boring…about like Dear Leader always having to be the center of attention, look how fast he’s being dissed & defeated, I’m just glad this is happening early before the primaries, Fox and some talking heads keep pushing her on us non-stop, plenty of people have finally had their fill.
We will have others to pick from, thank God!
Pence works for me, I hope he runs, anybody hear him last Friday evening at the Federalist Society Convention? Talk about a great speech and slam to this administration starting with the Head of the Snake on down.
Love to see DeMint as well, he says he isn’t running, so Pence/Bolton, Pence/West etc …I don’t know of Pence is going to run either but I sure as heck hope so.

Posted on November 26, 2010 at 11:11amI really wish the establishment Republicans could pick up the lesson to be learned from this episode. So many of us are so tired of “turning the other cheek” to these psychopaths like Howard Dean (which is what happened in the second term of Bush 43 / are you listening, Karl Rove?) just because their minions in the MSM try to spread their garbage. I notice the establishment Republicans have started to label the Palin supporters the Republican Taliban (of course, they would never do the same thing to the Democratic leftists because “that would be bad form, sport”). The Bushes and the Romneys are now really annoyed that we are pushing back and not knowing what our place is.
Bottom Line, we have learned we have to give as good as we can take it and Sarah Palin has led the way. You go, Mama Grizzly!

Obama‘s 57 states comment didn’t get “Obama might want to brush up on his geography if he wants to be president” – he wasn’t called stupid like Palin and other Republicans are when they make a verbal gaffe. The fact was Bush had a better grade point average than Gore yet whose intelligence did the MSM call into question? The MSM glosses over the fact the President of the United States can’t even pronounce corpsmen yet Bush was vilified for the way he pronounced Nuclear. I agree people make verbal mistakes but lets face it, only for those on the right are those mistakes blown out of proportion. True, talk radio might make a case of it when it come to the left but the average American won’t hear it played over and over again on ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN – they won’t have the pundits on the Sunday talk shows questioning the intelligence of someone who doesn’t know Europe isn’t a country.

You do have a point and I recognize it. There is no doubt there is an unfair bias in the media. There is also no doubt that they hound Palin looking for the slightest thing they can blow out of proportion to smear her. But two wrongs do not make a right. I love Palin’s facebook post, it was sheer genius to link all of Obama’s mistakes like that. That was not my point. I am simply saying that we all need to get past all this mud slinging and lay it on the table. Where do you stand and what do you want to do with my country? We saw this in the last election from many of the Republican and especially Tea Party supported candidates. While the stupid libs like Grayson played the same old mud slinging routine the candidates ran clean elections and clearly articulated their positions. This is the way we need to start doing business. The media will not fall into line until we the people do. When we start ignoring this crap they will stop promoting it. That means all of us though. We have a good start at winning this country back, but we need to do it by rising above their level. Do not play the game, be the adult. Do like Palin did and show them up for what they really are.

I’m sure Obama knows there are only 50 states but if that was Bush or Palin who said it they would be called all kinds of stupid. An example any mistake Obama has made and Allen Combs is on Fox News programming, another example a few weeks ago Peter Johnson Jr. I think was his name with Michelle Malkin, she could not get a word in edgeways from his yelling over her.

Posted on November 26, 2010 at 11:22amThat was a funny post, but I wonder if someone could help me fix a problem that I have w/ FaceBook.
Why am I unable to comment on Sarah’s FB threads like everyone else can? I am a FB “friend” of hers, but I am unable to “Like” her comments, the comments made by others ‘cuz the “Like” word doesn’t appear. I am also unable to comment like everyone else, ‘cuz the comment box @ the bottom of her threads don’t appear for me, either.
What’s really aggravating is that there is no way for me to contact her so I can ask her about this myself, so I am completely stuck & don’t know what to do.
Could somebody help me…..PLEASE?????????? Thank you.

Then they wonder why they go around smelling like a cow pie. I noticed that ol’ Gingrich-Huckabee 2012 or is it Huckabee-Gingrich 2012 has been silent on this one, must have given him/her a stroke to read all of Obomination-Biteme’s gaffes. I do just love it.

Posted on November 26, 2010 at 1:18pmEuropean and an Indian newspaper poke fun at Palin. She strikes back at Obama, conveniently forgetting that a certain fraction of the world, probably a large faction view the idea of her being President of the United States as laughable. Rove says she’s not Presidential material, and she strikes back via Twitter! Barbara Bush makes a little joke, and Sarah strikes back via Facebook!
Sarah Palin is showing she has the maturity level of a junior high student, returning every insult for one of her own. What would do as President, where everyone is coming at her. Suddenly change, or would we have a President who returns every perceived slight as requiring a petty, immature reply? She’s not changing perceptions of her as incapable of holding elected office, she’s reinforcing them.

Posted on November 26, 2010 at 1:44pmGovernor Palin has a deep understanding of the situation in North and South Korea. Given the strategic location of Alaska in the Pacific Theatre, and with the Republic of Korea being a trading partner with Alaska; Governor Palin is well-versed on North and South Korea.
http://wayback.archive-it.org/1200/20090726174408/http:/gov.state.ak.us/archive.php?id=1236&type=6
April 6, 2009, Juneau, Alaska – Responding to the missile test by North Korea, Governor Sarah Palin today reaffirmed Alaska’s commitment to protecting America from rogue nation missile attacks.
“I am deeply concerned with North Korea’s development and testing program which has clear potential of impacting Alaska, a sovereign state of the United States, with a potentially nuclear armed warhead,” Governor Palin said. “I can’t emphasize enough how important it is that we continue to develop and perfect the global missile defense network. Alaska’s strategic location and the system in place here have proven invaluable in defending the nation.”

Posted on November 26, 2010 at 2:34pmYeah, I can see 2012 from here too. The problem is, we think we voted in a “Whole new crop” of Tea Party endorsed Republicans that are going to make the hard choices and fix our economy, win our wars, and regain our world status as a great nation. The problem is they will not do any of that, they will continue to disappoint those that voted for them. These so-called “Tea Party” Republicans are just the latest of the same old bunch of political hacks, shill lawyers and two faced con-men we always get. We managed to elect a bunch of opportunists that told the Tea Party exactly what they wanted to hear, just typical politicians. Nothing has changed and we didn’t learn a thing, did we? Funny, I don’t recall any Farmers, Construction workers, Bartenders, Truck drivers, Oil field roughnecks, loggers or tree trimmers, plumbers, bakers (or candlestick makers) or a myriad of other hard working American being vetted, groomed and financed for a Tea Party canidacy! Those are the real people we need running this country, not another bunch of criminals in suits and ties out to pad their own pockets. Sorry, we got dupped again folks! And as Glenn always says…..”If I am wrong, I will be the first to admit it.” But I don’t think I am.

You might like the combo but it won’t win the White House. As good as RP is with details and following the Constitution, he’s not the kind of candidate that you could sell to a broad enough spectrum of voters. He is simply not electable as prez. I would love to see him at the Fed or Treasury.
What worries me is how rabid some RP supporters are. Because of some of the actions by a few overly rambunctious supporters during the last primary, RP fans put a bad taste in people’s mouths. But don’t get me wrong, I still like the guy, I just want to support someone that has a realistic chance of winning.

Her response to Beck:
“Well, North Korea, this is stemming from I think, a greater problem when we’re all, you know, sittin’ around askin’, ‘Oh, no, what are we gonna do,’ and we’re not having a lotta faith that the White House is gonna come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is North Korea is gonna do, so this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy, but obviously some stand with our North Korean allies we’re bound to by freedom; we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies. And to my North Korea, well, we’re not gonna reward bad behavior and we’re not gonna walk away and we do need to press China to do more to improve pressure on North Korea.”
The left would LOVE to run Obama, or almost any candidate, against this “word-salad shooter.”
