These future US Presidents asked the Barbary ambassador why his government was so hostile to the new American Republic even though America had done nothing to provoke them ?
The answer they received was this:
“ It is written in the Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet Mohammad were sinners whom it was the right & duty of the faithful of Allah to plunder & enslave them,
& that every Muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to Paradise.”
The Barbary States ambassador of Tripoli also said this to Jefferson & Adams of the Barbary Pirates:
“”The man who was the first to board an enemies vessel had one slave over & above his share, & that when they, (the Pirates), sprang upon the decks of their enemies’ ships, that every sailor, (Pirate), shall do so with a dagger in each hand, & a 3rd in hiss mouth, so that it struck such “terror” into their foe that their foes would cry out for “quarter” at once.” (London, Victory in Tripoli, pp.23-24)
3 quotes from the Koran that the Barbary ambassador, ( and many Muslims today), believed justifies or instructed Muslims to kill those who do not convert to Islam:
1.“Fight against such of those to whom Scriptures were given as believe neither in Allah nor the “Last Day” , who do not forbid what Allah & his apostle have forbidden, and do not embrace the “true faith”, until they pay “tribute” out of hand & are utterly subdued. (Sura 9:29)
2.“When you meet the “unbelievers” in the battlefield strike off their heads &, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly. Then grant them their freedom or take ransom, (tribute), from them, until War shall lay down her burdens.” (Sura 47:1)
3. “ They would have you disbelieve as they themselves have disbelieved, so you may be all alike. Do not befriend them until they have fled their homes for the cause of Allah. If they dessert you seize them & put them to death wherever you find them.” (Sura 4:87)

Tribute & ransom was collected in the Churches of our original 13 states regularly to buy freedom of “enslaved” American merchant mariners victims of piracy from the Islamic Barbary States from 1781-1801.
In 1801, then U.S. President Jefferson received a message from Tripoli further demanding tribute payments of $225,000, along with an additional annual payments of $25,000 from the US.
To respond, the US built the US Navy’s first major combat ships, the famous USS Constitution, USS Enterprise, & their sister ships.
Upon completion of the US Navy, U.S. Commodore Decatur, was sent with US Marines to fight in response to attacks, & further demands for tribute to be paid by the US, resulting in the 1st Barbary War.
Sailing with an American force of about 50 US Marines linking up with 400 Muslim mercenaries, led by William Eaton that landed then marched 500 miles from Egypt through the dessert capturing Derna on a campaign to capture Tripoli.
U.S. Commodore John Rodgers led the American fleet that also threatened Tripoli.
The threat posed by U.S. military forces worked.
Peace was negotiated in June 1805 by Tobias Lear, and Commodore Rodgers and the “pasha” of Tripoli.
The 1st Barbary War (1801-1805) was followed by the Second Barbary War (1815).
With the War of 1812 between the US & England, it found the Barbary Pirates putting themselves back at Islamic acts of Piracy and attacks against America as well as European merchant vessels and holding their crews and officers for ransom.
Open War between the United States and Algiers began in 1815 upon defeat of the British by the U.S. and subsequent peace treaty at the conclusion to “The War of 1812”.
On March 3, 1815 the U.S. deployed a naval force of 10 ships under the command once again of Commodore Decatur against Algiers, soundly defeating our enemy in May & June in battle at sea.
By the final week in June 1815, terms of peace were reached with the Islamic ruler of Algiers. the “Dey”.
But shortly after that, the “Dey of Algiers” repudiated the treaty with the US.
At this point, Britain became involved in a failed diplomatic mission that lead to military action by a squadron of British naval vessels & multi-national force including 6 Dutch navy vessels that sailed against Algiers.
After 9 1/2 hour punishing naval bombardment of Algiers, & the destruction of much of the Algierian fleet, and shore batteries, the Islamic ruler of Algiers accepted a peace offer.
A treaty was signed on September 24, 1816 with the Islamic ruler that freed 1,083 Christians that had been captured and enslaved by the Barbary Pirates with repayment to the U.S. of ransom money to the United States as a result.
As you can now see, the radical Muslims have been at war with America since our birth.

It would stop them from entering the site & whats the worst that could happen to the spiller? A $50.00 fine for littering? And of course, that is because it doesn’t. Shame! – if you are truly Christians go read the enlightened teachings of Christ instead of the propaganda. Maybe even look into your heart for the truth. Posted on September 27, 2010 at 5:07pmWell MOELARRYCURLY, I think you are arguing that Christianity is not a Religion of Peace. Seems that most folks around here say that Islam is evil and not a Religion of Peace. LOL!
Personally I don’t believe that either religion incites its followers to violent, non-peaceful behavior. It is usually some human or group of humans that have some political goals and want power. They then distort the message to suit their goals and unfortunately some people get duped into believing them and unwittingly stray from the path. I don’t personally believe that Christ would ever advocate committing violent acts against anyone. The same can be said of most religions. Truth is one, paths are many. Try being tolerant of others, instead of judging them.

Without inspections and permits, aren’t they breaking the law? Here we go again. The minority group is rewarded for breaking the law.
It is important for people to understand this is not a mosque. It is not a community center. It is a specific building as prescribed in the qaran as a RABAT. Look it up and you will understand why they will not move it to another location and the purpose for which it is to be built.

They can call it anything that they want, it’s a mosque……..I was almost laughing at our president when he so gallantly defended ground-zero and the families of 911 after the Iranian dictator accused the US of being responsible for 911. Yet he could not acknowledge them or ground-zero in response to the building of the mosque. Sounds like he is desperate for votes for his cronies. I think he called it “You Mecca Me Hot” or “Turban Cowboy”. I also heard suggestions of a all pork deli and BBQ place and even an adult store with pictures of almost naked women in the windows.
The most offensive suggestion I heard so far was that someone would cut up live pigs and shoot the blood and ground up remains all over the property. I heard they hate that kind of thing and according to the quaran it would make the place unusable to muslims. no one gets hurt and they won’t use the property because it has been defiled. Seems to me that would do the trick without anyone getting hurt or going to jail, except for a couple pigs.

1. There has been a mosque 4 blocks down WTC G-0 location, since 1970s ,
2. .After 1993 , the WTC towers were finally brought down in 2001..
3. The landing gear of one hijacked plane fell over the Burlington Coat Factory building, so it got destroyed , together with the WTC, ion 9-11.
4. Muslims took over the BCF building and started marking their territory by offering namaz .
5. Then a muslim bought the land from the owners for 4.8 mil , when they rejected an offer of 17 mil.
5. So now muslims own the land and the current building , which they call a mosque.
So they caused the very chain of events which allowed them to call this location a mosque .

If they are having other meetings and training more muslims to fight against this once great country, they will continue to whether the community center goes up or not. What most worries me is that at the top they’ll have some sort of (in arabic) thing posted where you can read ‘this is what we did to them, and the spot you stand in is proof of muslim victory over western infidels.‘ I’m sure it’ll sound much better with a healthy dose of phlegm. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no racist, but I do believe that if a bully on the playground punches you in the gut that you have every right to rip their head off and present it to the principal as retribution.

But the core of Islam is what it is…incompatible with people of other religions. And that will not change. Chrisitianity produces a saint and you get mother theresa. Islam produces a saint and you get a suicide bomber.

Did they get a buiding permit for renovations from zoning for the changes that have already been done? Is there an actual plan already filed with the NYC zoning office for the actual renovation that is being done and has been done? Do they have a Permit for the remodeling that they have done? AND WHAT ABOUT the union workers? I’m told that to do anything in NYC requires union involvement. Is this job a union job???? or is it being done by non union personnel?

I’ve no problem with a mosque or community center there. (It’s the community center part that has not been built yet.) My only problem is where the money is coming from.
