‘60 Minutes’ Reporter Doesn’t Press Obama on Misstatements

Video of the president’s “60 Minutes” comments Sunday that Obamacare was “actually a little more [politically] costly than we had expected” has been making the rounds (below). But what some haven’t noticed are the inaccuracies contained in it. One blog did. But before we show you what it found, can you pick up any?:

Here’s what Gateway Pundit noticed:

- The health care bill was passed before not after the unpopular financial bill.
- Mitt Romney is not currently running for president.
- We’ve never [seen] a bill like this proposed nationally unless you count Hillarycare.
- Obama was pushing the bill for over a year before democrats rammed it through.
- It was the central focus of his first two years in office.
- They didn’t even read the bill.
- Democrats thought it would be more popular by the midterm election.
- His other emergency economic proposals were complete bombs, too.

Reporter Steve Croft didn’t pick up on, or push back regarding, any of the inaccuracies.

Still waiting for the one Republican to stand up and remind America that the whole reason they had to have the big sit down meeting before they did the whole twisted logic thing to get the Senate to pass it was because they HAD SHUT THE REPUBLICANS OUT OF THE DEBATE AND LOCKED THE CHAMBER DOORS WHEN THE BILL WAS BEING WRITTEN.

Still waiting for one Republican to REMIND AMERICA THAT THEY HAD TO RAM THIS THROUGH EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN’T GO INTO EFFECT UNTIL AFTER THE 2012 ELECTIONS AND THAT OBAMA DID THAT ON PURPOSE BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT HE WILL NEVER GET RE-ELECTED ONCE PEOPLE SEE THIS HC BILL IN ACTION.

    You missed one:

    - They didn’t realize how many people were going to get their new Healthcare/Benefits packages from their employers before November 2nd and would see how much this new healthcare system would begin to cost them.
    - They didn’t think that so many insurance companies would already be doing things like stopping their healthcare plans written just for children. They thought they could get through the Midterms before people would notice how much this bill f’s up the healthcare system.
    - They were counting on America being stupid enough to believe adding 30 million people to the government healthcare option and throwing in “free” preventative care and insuring kids until they were 26 on mommy and daddy’s plan would somehow save the government money.

(by the way, does this mean that kids who are 26 with their own kids are going go to really be on Grandma and Grandpa’s insurance plan?)

Healthcare reform is not only hard, its UN-Constitutional and communist. It doesn’t deserve “cooperation” from ANY QUARTER, republican or not. Good bye Marxist apologist. Good bye UNION monopolists. It’s ironic that Union sympathizers speak out of one side of their mouth against monopolies, and vote out of the other side for a LABOR MONOPOLY.

Speaking of MONOPOLY – why doe private bankers have a monopoly on US Currency which is supposed to be under the oversight of Congress, but even Congress can’t pass a bill to audit the Fed? What stinky carcass is underneath THAT pile?

It is to be expected from the double standard left leaning media which ocntinues to support this administration in light of the will of the American people as reflected in elections this year. It can only help, as President Obama and the rest of his regime continue on course. Come 2012, he and his socialistic leaning croonies will be gone if the Conservative Republicans practice their principles and values and block all that would exascerbate the deficit. They must continue to propose repeal of the Healthcare law, the excessive financial regulations, eliminate spending, and modify entitlements, etc. even if vetoed by the WH. The American people have seen the light and will follow through in 2012.

I can tell he’s lying- his lips are moving! That aside; he knew going into the health care reform bill it would cost him politically- just not that much. What did he think would happen when he rammed an unvetted bill through congress? It turns out the American people don’t like being coerced into doing something we truly believe will lower the standard of our living and increase cost.
It’s insulting that he finds a way to blame republicans- how could they be on board with what he was doing? No one knew what it was, and to be honest we still don’t.

Obama made me more ashamed of him, and I wanted to slap Kroft… bad journalism across the board. I usually enjoy 60 Minutes, but that interview made me ashamed of them. Why am I so surprised? I have no idea… I keep thinking, ONE day, someone will do the right thing. But it never happens. They’re all sleeping in the same bed together. Pathetic interview! But like they say, pre-approved question/answer list… thing is, I’d NEVER agree, as a REAL journalist, to interview anyone like that. Don’t care who they are!

No question is ever given to Obama that has not been previewed. Watch his “news confrences”, he has a list of which reporters to call on as their questions were presubmitted and answers formatted and telepromtered.

and from Drudgereport.com we have todays shocking (not) slip of the tongue from Obama

There was an odd little moment with Spice Jet founder Bhupendra Kansagra when President Obama spoke to CEOs Saturday in Mumbai.

MR. KANSAGRA: Thank you. Welcome, Mr. President, to India. As a fellow Kenyan, I’m very proud to see that you have made –

THE PRESIDENT: Made something of myself. (Laughter.)

MR. KANSAGRA: — India as the focus of your drive for exports out of the U.S.

Obviously the president is not a Kenyan. One supposes Mr. Kansagra meant “of Kenyan ancestry” or something.
