“Many producers with a limited knowledge of Islam often sell all their goats for Ramadan, missing another important opportunity. Approximately 70 days after Ramadan falls the second Eid—Id al-Adha (Festival of the Sacrifice), which represents the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, Ishmael to Allah. Muslims in India and Pakistan also refer to this holiday as “Goat Eid” as it is traditional to slaughter a goat and give a third of the meat to the poor.”

Would be just about the right age by August…maybe?

Has anyone noticed the number of “lost goats” stories lately?

    Why the goats?

Who eats goats~~~ a lot???? (Don’t give me, “They make great barbecue” for an answer).

Judas goats???? Symbolic???? Food for the hidden jihadists among us????? Just asking…..

Grand ma- Goats are made of meat. Meat tastes good when grilled. Hence goats taste good when grilled. Has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with taste.

My father-in-law raise some goats a while back… there were plenty of people who just stopped by and asked to buy one for food. I think they were mostly Hispanic.

      NICKDERINGER,
I do not know where this “Cutesy” little goat story aired but it’s not funny. Muslims EAT goats. More and more areas of this nation are becoming compliant in ritual slaughter…,yadda, yadda.
A few weeks ago baby goats were wandering around the freeway in New Jersey.
Yeah…,every news station said,“Poor Things”. Guess what?! It was Patterson N.J., a Muslim conclave.Yeah Patterson…,where muslims were on the rooftops on September 11,2001 looking towards New York City. Hmmm.No proof. Just sayin’.
Runaway goats in the city? Wake up America!

Did you catch that bit at the end?? Who or why would someone “reserve” a young goat (kid) at this time of the year?? What sinister plan does someone have for this defenseless young kid?? Is that charcoal I smell?? We need to keep following up on this story.

I understand goats are good for mowing your lawn. Instead of tearing the grass out like some animals, their teeth actually cut the grass.
I wonder how many goats would be required to keep a acre of grass cut.
