Updated Guide to Our Recent Posts on Understanding Egypt

Editor’s note: This story has been updated with new entries. The newer posts appear at the top.

Recently, we posted a series of stories and blog posts about the Egypt conflict featuring guest contributors. This story is meant to be a one-stop-shop of sorts for that recent coverage. As such, it will be updated. Below you will find excerpts and links to the stories.

“Understanding Egypt: The Twelfth Imam, and the End of Days” by Joel C Rosenberg

“All eyes are on Egypt right now, but we best stay focused on the apocalyptic, genocidal, death cult running Iran as well. Their nuclear program and End Times theology pose a clear and present danger to U.S. national security, as well as that of our allies, especially Israel.”

“Understanding Egypt: The Danger of Revolution on an Empty Stomach” by Nick Rizzuto

“While a great deal of attention has been paid to the various ideologies of the political factions at play, just as important are the conditions that underlie Egypt’s current revolutionary fervor. A recent report might give us some insight as to the social backdrop upon which the Egyptian unrest is occurring.”

“Understanding Egypt: The Emerging Islamist-Leftist Revolution” by Joel Richardson

“There are two things that must be understood regarding the present revolution in the Muslim world. The first is the unusual alliance between Leftist revolutionaries and Islamist revolutionaries. As Reuters reported, the protests in Amman consisted of “Islamists, leftists and trade unionists”. Their chant? “We Want Change!” The second thing that must be understood is the Messianic undercurrent of the present Muslim revolution.”

“Understanding Egypt: The Suez Canal” by Bill Tucker

“While the world has been captivated by the pictures from the streets and reports of journalists being mobbed by pro-government forces in the streets of Cairo, the financial world’s attention has been off to the east. Traders have been fixated on a 120-mile thread of silvery water known as the Suez Canal. It is through those canals that trade moves between the Red Sea to the south and the waters of the Mediterranean Ocean to the north.”

“Understanding Egypty: The Emerging Erdogan” by Anonymous

“As Egypt changes leaders so does the center of power in the Middle East.

“As the eyes of the world center on the Middle East and the uncertainty of the region continues to threaten the stability of governments and economic infrastructures, the stage is set for a “great” leader to rise to power.

“History tells us he’s coming.”

“Understanding Egypt: What Is a Caliphate?” by Bill Tucker

“Sometimes a word, like a faded Hollywood starlet, makes a surprising return to the spotlight … and so it is for caliphate.  The word owes its renewed popularity to Glenn Beck, who first raised the possibility of a new caliphate on his Fox television show.  Suddenly, the word went from relative obscurity to become one of Google’s most searched words, as revolution erupted in Egypt and the world began to wonder what would emerge from the anger in Egypt’s streets.”

“Understanding Egypt: Islamic Socialism and the Left” by M. Zuhdi Jasser

“Many have a hard time understanding where the political left in Europe and the United States have common ground with this theo-political Islamist movement. Socialist ideology promotes an oppression of the individual for the collective needs of society and government. Islamist ideology similarly promotes the oppression of the individual for the ‘common good’ of the Islamic state. Both snuff out individual responsibility for tribal collective control.”

“Understanding Egypt: History of the Caliphate (Part One)” by Joel Richardson

“From Muhammad’s death until the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1923, various Caliphates or dynasties ruled the Islamic world. The most significant Caliphates in historical order were the Rashidun, the Abbasid, the Umayyid, and finally the Ottoman. At times in Muslim history, there have even been rival claimant Caliphs in different parts of the Muslim world. Although the purpose of the Caliphate is to unify all Muslims worldwide, rarely has this genuinely been the case.  Islamists however often downplay this fact and instead portray the first thirteen hundred years of Islam through a highly idealized lens…”

“Understanding Egypt: Making Stone Soup” by Damon Vickers

“We are facing a moment in history that is unlike anything we have seen in our lifetimes. Never before have so many people in so many regions of the world simultaneously beat the drums of revolution. While change is inevitable, what can we do to prepare ourselves? And how might a widespread transition to extremist Islamic rule in the Middle East effect your pocketbook? Your investments? And perhaps the politics here in the United States.”

“Is Egypt‘s Really Obama’s to Lose?” by S.E. Cupp

“Obama’s foreign policy is predicated on a belief in the real power of soft diplomacy, the unclenching of fists, and the oratorical equivalent of a hug. And when it comes to the Middle East, he is careful not to make too many demands (unless, of course, you were hoping to build some apartment buildings in East Jerusalem, in which case, he’d really rather you didn’t.)”

I believe this is the NWO crowd utilizing the Islamic movement to do the dirty work.. in the Middle East. Create the ‘manufactured’ crisis and using the Cloward-Piven principle…They are using the word ‘democracy’, to psychologically draw in sympathetic support from Americans and NATO countries, while undermining the Western capitalistic societies.
Meanwhile China, who the NWO people have already crowned leader of their movement sits back, prepares and waits for the Middle East to explode. Isreal will react. Obama, has diverted our troops and is weakening our defenses for our own border. It‘s getting to feel like the ’Alamo’…

Even Fox News Sunday’s Bill Kristol claims Glenn is going off the deep end. And he’s not the only conservative voice that is waking up to realize Glenn is melting down. His hysterics on his radio show this AM aren’t helping either.

Glenn Beck – “WE ARE FIGHTING THE FORCES OF EVIL ON THIS PLANET!!!”

HOOOOOO BOY. Glennis the Menace is really taking his position as Mayor of Crazyville seriously today. Now we’re all supposed to be on guard and trembling in our Hush Puppies over the latest new target to fear: “EVIL.”

Glenn’s yelling on the air this fine Monday morning like a hysterical school girl, whining about Bill Crystal, China, North Korea, the Muslim Brotherhood, old lady college professors who are going to lead a violent revolution in our own nation and on and on he goes like a fired up old time fire and brimstone preacher. How many waking hours does this loon spend dwelling on how bad everyone and everything else is and working himself into a paranoid frenzy based upon his delusional thoughts? Glenn has painted himself into a corner with his fear-mongering, and exactly as I have been saying, even the real conservatives out there are waking up to realize, BECK IS NUTS!

“From the looks of these initial posts, it seems we the people get it. Why won’t our “Representatives” in DC?”
    ____________

You know “Stuck”…You are so Right! We The People actually need a “Representative” to “Represent” us to our “Representatives”….Now that just about says it all! Pathetic! I’m noticing it more and more that “WE” are so far ahead of THEIR learning curve that by the time they give their “tired, worn-out political diatribe answers” and it gets aired on FOX news, we (out here) have already discussed the issue of the day…“untangled” the topic, found the truth and offered up many realistic solutions to the problem…they look like a bunch of out of touch idiots….AND, even when they ARE LISTENING…it still takes them 2 or 3 months to get in step with US! They should all appoint some of their staff to doing nothing but following the pulse of people like us and the tea parties to see where “WE” actually stand on everything! Better yet, the staffer could actually be directed to watch Glenn and they might even stand a chance of getting HISTORY right and God forbid that they actually know the “constitutionality” of any given issue…Yet another lesson Glenn will gladly provide… THEN and ONLY then, our so called “Representatives”, might stand a chance of GETTING IT RIGHT and we might even manage to save the Republic! Glenn should suggest this on his cable and radio programs…

My rule in life has always been……….Do not ask me a question UNLESS you are willing to hear the answer.

Just straight honesty. PC be damned. If my answer offends you, then try learning more than just your opinion.

I have always answered questions honestly. Others may want to try it. I am also willing to listen to other opinions and give it thought. We never know when we may be wrong, or a better answer is out there.
At times, this has lost me friends…….if they were really friends is in doubt…….

We must fight for what is right.
We must even harder against that which is wrong.

You want to go back to 1965 with that post ?? Fine.

That HuffPo piece has so many distortions of fact I could hardly go into it here. BUT, one of the lines is that Glenn once said that Jesse Jackson “the stinking king of the race lords” I have been listening to Glenn for a long time, and while I never heard it said, it NEEDED to be said. It is true. I personally would say it this way: “king of the race hustlers” Same difference.

Now going back to 1965, lets look at what one of the HuffPo’s darlings was up to. William Ayers

I am a staunch conservative and a faithful Christian. Over the months that I’ve been reading The Blaze, I began being humored, disappointed, angered, and embarrassed by some of the “reader responses” to the stories.

This will be my last comment ever on the site. The profound ignorance, intolerance, racism, illiteracy, misguided opinions, etc. have brought me to the conclusion that it is just as easy for the left to find fault with the right as it is for us to find fault with them. America is lost and even Glenn Beck will not be able to help us save it. I admire his courage, conviction, and passion for this country. I am proud to have been on the mall 8.28 and I am honored to have served what was once a great country.

We have our own brand of extremists in the country. The Progressives, MSM, Marxists, Unions, etc.
On the flip side we have uninformed, uneducated right wing whack jobs whose arguments are just as empty as those on the left. Please refer to Geauxalready.

I have allowed what’s happening to affect me mentally and emotionally for a number of years now….Well, no more. Yes Glenn, I have reached acceptance. I have accepted that we are living in America’s final days. We buried exceptionalism a very long time ago.

Things can look darkest before the dawn. Please, don’t give up on America-Many of us out here are concerned and have frustrations with so much of the schizophrenia on the left. They even take our words, strangle them and in the next breath use/manipulate those very words against us. We can not give in to their propaganda. As Patrick Henry states, ‘give me liberty or give me death’. If our liberty is lost because we give in, we are satisfying their goals; in addition, once freedom is lost how difficult will it be to regain? Almost negative. We have to find our George Washington or others in the modern era who NEVER give up. I pray Glenn can sustain his ardor and always keep GW’s determination and Providential guidance. Glenn wears the Medal of Merit; that is a profound statement and we can pray an enduring one…..

You sound like an intelligent person. I was in the same place as you about a month ago. One thing that I do is to ask God to tell me what He wants (or help bring me out of a funk) I then randomly open the bible and read what is placed before me. When I did it, He placed me somewhere in Chronicles, which told me BECAUSE THIS COUNTRY IS WORTH SAVING! I would like to add a few things I believe. #1. You do not have to be a Glenn Beck! Every little bit that each of us does brings the ignorant closer to the truth. #2. You do not have to be on it 24/7. Take a break, renew yourself, then get back in there and reply to every ignorant comment that you see. You are making a difference, one comment at a time. I have felt a strong call recently, and am learning what He knows is my strong suit. Hang in there, we are pulling together.

It is not easy to swallow either that the Muslims actually get more religious freedoms in this country than do any other religion. They can take religious knives to schools. The women can wear burkhas to school or work. They are given time from work to pray. None of these kinds of examples are afforded to any other religion in the US.

Geauxalready, your comment is ignorant. First, and most importantly, the Muslim faith has not been around since the beginning of time. I do not agree with their religion from a theological standpoint and it is clear that there are a variety of ways in which Muslim groups practice their faith. The radical or extremist Muslims are a plague to the world. To label the entire Islamic religion is ignorant, uneducated, foolish…should I keep going? I am a Christian raised by a mother and extended family of cultural Muslims. I can tell you, if given a choice to be in their company or yours, there would be no decision to make. You are an embarrassment to me as a Christian and a Patriot.

I don’t see us Christian blowing ourselves up for the cause! What I see is that Islam, a Satanic Cult not a religion, is rising up against the Infidels! Maybe you think were just trying to rise up and take over all muslim countries, and kill all muslims? If your that ignorant, go over and live in an Islamic country, where you’ll fit right in! Maybe they’ll use your brains for something, like rock throwing practice! I bet they would love to smash the Infidels Brains in! Ironmann..Political correctness is a tool of the left that will never end. If you tell someone you are offended, it shuts down free speech and the exchange of ideas. Just think how many people think the tea party is a bunch of racists and you will understand what I mean.

People are afraid to speak out becuse they are afraid of being offensive to someone or hurting someone elses feelings. I myself am way past that. They can call me all the names they want to, I will stand my ground and show them their stupidity and hopefully a dose of reality.

Even Glenn got shut down and backed off when he said Obama was a Racist….He came back and apologized..Why? Politically correct pressure that’s why. The TRUTH is that Obama is a racist!
