A Second University Also Listed Elizabeth Warren as a Minority

A second university once listed Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren as a minority — a revelation that comes after Warren raised eyebrows in recent weeks for claiming to be 1/32nd Cherokee.
In addition to Harvard University, which listed her as Native American, the University of Pennsylvania Law School once indicated Warren was a minority faculty member, the Washington Post reported:
According to Penn’s 2005 “Minority Equity Report,” it too identified Warren, who taught there from 1987 to 1995, as a minority.
On page 16 of the report, the now-Massachusetts Senate candidate is listed as a winner of the school’s Lindback Award in 1994. Unlike other names listed, though, her name is italicized and bolded to indicate her status as a minority faculty member.
It’s the first indication to date of another one of Warren’s employers having listed her as a minority.
Warren, locked in a campaign battle against Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), has said she never used her ancestry to get a career leg-up; instead, she listed her heritage in professional directories to connect with other faculty members.
“I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group something that might happen with people who are like I am. Nothing like that ever happened, that was clearly not the use for it and so I stopped checking it off,” Warren said last week, according to the Boston Herald.
Warren’s campaign said it would be issuing a response to the latest report, according to The Hill.

My memory isn’t the best but I could have sworn that I just read a article about her great-grandfather being in the same regiment that started the trail of tears and if my memory serves me right is also said that her great grandmother wasn’t native American.

There are many different way a minority status could benefit from government funding. It would be interesting if they did receive direct funds as a result of her fake heritage.
