‘A Source of Pain’: Jesse Jackson Defends Rev. Wright Against Media ‘Degradation’ & Manipulation

Jesse Jackson Defends Rev. Jeremiah Wright Against Media AttacksOver the past week, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright has re-emerged in both media and political circles. Following author Ed Klein’s release of his new book, “The Amateur,” the fiery faith leader has received quite a bit of coverage. Last week, The Blaze shared exclusive audio tapes of Wright’s three-hour interview with Klein. We also covered a now-debunk GOP plan to potentially use Wright as a 2012 political tool against President Barack Obama.

In light of the deluge of coverage surrounding the preacher, who has come under fire numerous times before for harsh rhetoric and bizarre rants, the Rev. Jesse Jackson has come forward to defend Wright. On MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown” with Chuck Todd, Jackson proclaimed that it is a personal “source of pain” for him to see the media’s treatment of the controversial pastor.

“I know it’s a source of pain for me to see him used as an object of degradation and manipulated the way he’s been used the media as if he’s some sort of enemy of the state,” Jackson said of Wright. “It’s not fair and it’s not true. It pains me to see him used as an object of degradation.”

According to Jackson, Wright’s goodwill and the help he has offered to people in need is being overshadowed by the divisive media persona that has been created.

“I remember when parents were kicking their youth out of houses, called AIDS a kind of leprosy, he had a ministry. I remember when gays were being in isolation and committing suicide, he had a gay ministry,” Jackson continued. “So his ministry has been a most profound one. That’s why people like a young Barack Obama and Michelle would go to that church, because it was such a well-ministered church.”

Jackson went on to liken the medias’ maligning of Jackson to that of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man he claims was accused of being a communist. In a similar fashion, Jackson contends that both Wright and King were unfairly used as objects of degradation.

      When are blacks going to wise up leave the demorat plantation and quit listening to these race baiters? people like jackson and sharpton are the ones holding up any “forward” progress against racism.

      I wish blacks would go back, read and listen to MLK himself and not the message the race baiters that have twisted MLK’s words.

    I just want to know where Jessie Jackson’s Church is? Have you ever seen him actually at the pulpit? How does he make his money? What religion is he a reverend of? I don‘t believe I’ve ever seen him holding a Bible…

      Jackson never holds a Bible. The Jacksons and Wrights, and Sharptons are part of what is the Black Liberation Theology church which is a communist organization disguised as religion.

      I have long wondered what half-baked organization “ordained” Jesse Jackson; they too, if they exist, will stand before the Judge for giving credence to a false prophet. “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture! saith the Lord.” (see Jeremiah 23:1ff) I seriously doubt that Jesse Jackson would recognise Jesus Christ if He walked up to him on the street. I also wonder if either these ministers know that there is an angel that goes with them and records EVERY word they say and that there will be an accounting for all of them before the Lord Jesus Christ. Should be interesting to see. My only prayer for either is that they see the truth before it is too late.

    Wright has used America as an “object of degradation” with his anti-America rants, so he is responsible for degrading himself. Jackson is a political trickster trying to shift blame to the messenger. He too has degraded himself. The Reverends have no reverence for anything beyond their own egos and ambitions. I don’t believe God would choose these 2 clergycreeps to be his representatives.

    Jesse must be jealous that Sharpton has been getting so much publicity recently with his attempts to lynch G. Zimmerman. Jesse needs a CAUSE to put his face back on TV so what better way than defending poor old Jeramiah Wright.

    I do find it odd, funny odd, that Jesse uses Wright‘s work with homosexuals to highlight how wonderful Wright is in light of Obama recently being declared America’s first GAY President.

    Liberation Theology and Social Justice are scurges in the Church. They teach group salvation and giving up your wealth to attain that said salvation. It is completely opposite of the Gospel of Christ. They wrap it all in the goodness of giving and sell it as a great loving thing we must do as a Christian. Total lies….
    The problem is that people want to be good, they want to give and these DEMONS use that goodness and willingness to give as a tool to get money for their own selfish desires. They wrap it all in a facade of love…Its easy to do because people do not know the Gospel, they listen to these fools and believe it. I know, it creeped into my little Church through a small Ministry…I sounded the alarm and ended that really quick. Most of the people were all ready to give to someone who was using social justice as a tool to milk them like a cow….Irgnorance of the Bible and the TRUE Gospel is all it was…
    I would have never thought my Church could ever be victimized. I was wrong. I heard what was going on, went to the Pastor and nipped that crap in the bud…It was all defended with goodness, love, giving and Christianity…all of it false doctrine…If you dont know your Bible it would have sounded so good to you..It is EVIL and against God’s teachings…Wake up little sheeple…Stand up to these people and shut them down…

    Jesse the stud doesnt recognize degradation. Its when Wright stimulates sex bumping up against the pulpit. Its when Wright breaks the Commandment of not using Gods name in vain, especially in church. Gods word is supposed to be teached in church not sex stimulation of some President porking an intern with the blessings of a first lady. His church is dirty.     FOR THE LAST TIME: This ISN’T about WRIGHT!!! This is about Obama bribing him to stay quiet and what it says about Obama’s character that is at issue here. Once again the left can‘t defend so we’re gonna try the distract tactic and make this about Wright himself. NOPE sorry you don’t get to do that this time. Wright isn’t in any pain from us, he’s getting flack for revealing the truth about Obama from the left. We’re cheering the man for admitting the truth about now. He is allowed to believe whatever he wants (still a free country for the moment.) We just don’t want a President that is only interested in representing one group of Americans at the expense of others. We don‘t want to revert to racism of any kind and we definitely don’t want it modeled in the White House. Wright is a white racist and there is no way to get around that. The fact that the Pres then used him just to put a “christian face” on his campaign and then tried to bribe him to keep quiet is reprehensible but not unexpected. Those of us with our eyes open have known our Liar in Chief has been dirty almost from the beginning. It’s the rest of you that are having a hard time coming to terms with that. Good Luck.

      I would say that Obama‘s communist education started long before he ever darkened the door of Wright’s church. He was a communist trying to start a political career and he used that church to give himself the appearance of being a part of the black community in Chicago. I wish somebody would dig up his tithing records. It would probably show how little he actually attended.
