‘A Truly Remarkable Event’: TheBlazeTV Breaks Down The ‘Day of Service’

Exclusive Live & On Demand Coverage of Restoring Love Available Now on GBTV Plus - Click for Details.

On tonight’s Glenn Beck program, guest host Erick Stakelbeck covered – in extensive detail – the overwhelmingly positive response to Restoring Love’s “Day of Service.“ Those who watch the show will be familiar with the concept of the ”Day of Service,” but as a quick reminder, the concept is that tens of thousands of volunteers would spend an entire day doing nothing but serving local community organizations.

In practice, this amounted to a gigantic infusion of charity work into the Dallas area, as several of the community leaders involved told Stakelbeck in a five person panel on the show. Aside from Stakelbeck, the panel consisted of David Barton, founder of WallBuilders, Pastor Karen Dudley of the Dallas International Street Church, Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and Joe Vernon, founder of a local nursing home.

Without exception, every single one of the panelists wondered at the passion and dedication of the volunteers.

“It was miraculous,” Dudley said. “What really struck me was the fact that they were talking the talk.”

This breathless enthusiasm for the project was echoed in another segment, in which Stakelbeck interviewed TheBlaze reporter Lisa Paige, who had visited all the service sites for herself, and seen the enthusiasm not just of the leaders, but of the volunteers. Moreover, according to Paige, even those who needed to be served, including drug addicts, were swept away by the furor.

“After speaking to so many volunteers and seeing so many kids in the act, it was such a humbling experience,” Paige said.

There is one minor fact that is predictable, but saddening: the mainstream media hasn’t covered the event at all. Why? According to Stakelbeck, because it disrupts their planned narrative that conservatives are heartless ogres who don’t care about the poor.

However, minus the media’s deafening silence, the event has been, by all accounts, a stunning success. And even if no one in the media deigns to recognize the event for its incredible power, as Ronald Reagan said, “there‘s no end to what you can accomplish if you don’t mind who gets the credit.”

Sure is interesting to see all the false-flag posters this weekend.

My husband and I came to Dallas from Montana to attend Restoring Love and our day of service will be the highlight for us. Thousands coming at their own expense to help others was an amazing sight to see. When we work together so much can be accomplished. With people like our fellow volunteers we can and will restore the values that made this country what it was and will be again. Thanks to all who served here in Dallas and to all those who regularly serve in their own communities.

Did you notice they had a female pastor on the show. This is strictly against the Bible, no woman shall hold any position in the churcb or have authority over a man, it’s in 1Timothy 2;11-14,
1Cor 14:34-35 read it, she shouldn’t have been let in the building.

I’m so sad that all you could glean from this story was the fact that Pastor Karen Dudley, of the Dallas International Street Church, is a woman. I know Pastor Karen personally. Let me tell you that this Woman of God is filling a gap that Men of God have not! She’s been known to go into the crack houses and under the bridges to get those who have fallen and strayed. Please get rid of your judgemental spirit and PRAY for those who are doing what others will not do!!!

Thank God for Glenn Beck and all the volunteers who participated in the Restoring Love’s Day of Service!!!

I love Glenn Beck but I find I can’t listen to his radio station anymore because he keeps repeating old segments of his show during the program. If you’re an avid listener like I am, it’s becoming irritating. I wonder why he’s doing this. I still support you Glenn, I’ll just have to read The Blaze from now on.

2009 Glenn Beck RIPS 2012 Glenn BECK TO SHREDS about “volunteerism” and “service”!!!!!!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKOtIfdPu1I

“I just have one pesky question [for 2012 Glenn Beck]: are we running out of volunteerists in this country? I mean, Americans are some of the most generous and giving people in the world. Are we… are we trying to fix a problem… that doesn’t exist?”

If you can honestly talk smack on Glenn Beck, you are truly a rotten human being. If you have listened to him for 10 years, like many of us, you would know how genuine he is. His kindness and concern is not a “put on”. I won’t even bother listening to your link. I know that Glenn, just like the rest of us, is capable of putting his foot in his mouth from time to time. And I know that he would admit that himself, because he always does.
You can keep your media matters.

BWS: What kind of pathetic loser do you have to be to work for George Soros and spend your time tearing down people giving their time and talents to help others? I have met many losers in my life but this takes the cake. The only way I can wrap my head around it is to understand that you have a really bad meth or herion habit. Nothing else would make sense.

Thanks for the pat on the back privious posters. I am one that was out there today.
TJ.. If you read this, your one great guy. If it wasn’t for you, the job we did would not have
been done. Your tools saved the day. Hats off to you my new friend.
We worked on a halfway house, ( I will leave it at that) We had a great group, Not many had any construction skills. And despite the heat we just about accomplished the work. If I can drag my sorry hide out of bed in the morning, TJ and I will go back and finish the job.
Great work people, no matter which project you had.
Let’s see a group of libs do what we ALL did today,, at their own expence,
No one paid our way no matter where we came from.
God bless all of you.. The Dirt Mover.

God bless you and all that served others today whether in Dallas or elsewhere. God Bless America and no one can take away the great and honorable feeling of helping another person or persons instead of hurting others with harsh words or bad deeds.

Thanks! It was amazing moreso because I know several people who were turned away from the sign up because they had more volunteers than they had tasks for them to fulfill!

    Bus 832 rules…

I saw not one reporter of any kind today. Unbelievable, BUT we are not to be charitable so others will watch OR do it in a way that others will see. The fact that it was done is enough. Charity is for the giver, as much as for the receiver.

God Bless all the Volunteers today and the man who invited us here.

I wasn’t able to go to the day of service so I found my own service project by helping a stranded motorist. It makes you feel so good inside to help those you can. May God Bless those who served and those who were served.
