ABC Reveals Identity of Weiner’s Latest Online Mistress

Now that Rep. Anthony Weiner had admitted that the Twitter picture was, indeed, him, ABC News has released information on his latest online “mistress” — Meagan Broussard. Broussard is a 26-year-old single mother from Texas. She has compiled the e-mails, photographs, Facebook messages and other communications she exchanged with the congressman. Broussard claims she began speaking with Weiner on April 20, 2011. ABC has more:
…Broussard, who describes herself as disinterested in politics and previously unaware of Weiner, said that she has never met the congressman in person and doesn’t “think he’s a bad guy.” And, she said, she actively participated in “sexting” — as she has done frequently with other men online — with the man she presumed to be Weiner…
“I didn’t think it was him,” she says. “I thought for sure, ‘why would someone in that position be doing this?’”
The conversations were certainly private in nature and surprising considering Weiner’s high public profile. At one point, Broussard even expressed her uncomfortableness with the online relationship the two were engaging in:
…During one Facebook chat conversation, Broussard said she voiced uneasiness with the electronic relationship, to which she says Weiner replied, “you are not stalking me….I am stalking you.”
In another conversation, Broussard said she asked Weiner, “Why are you so open? I said, I’m not an open book like that.”
“He replied, ‘I’m an open book. Maybe too open,’” she said.
UPDATE: Also, it has now been revealed that Broussard was one of the women who came to Andrew Breitbart with her story. She penned a piece for BigGovernment.com with first-hand details about what happened. You can read it here.

What is repulsive about this guy is that he publicly and repeatedly lied about what he had done. The images and conversations are morally repulsive, but the lying – even if not under oath – should be enough to compel any person with integrity to resign a position of public trust.
But as Rep. Weiner so eloquently (and interminably) demonstrated today, he is not a person of integrity. NY-9 has the power to remove this liar from office, so we’ll see if he truly represents his constituents, or if they expect a higher standard of integrity, both from their elected officials and from themselves.
