ABC’s Robin Roberts: ‘I’m Getting Chills‘ While Discussing Obama’s Gay Marriage Announcement

First “thrills” and now “chills?” President Barack Obama certainly has a penchant — or, at the least the ability — to create quite an emotive experience for some of the journalists and talking heads who cover him. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, of course, experienced the infamous “thrill” before the 2008 election. Now, ABC News’ Robin Roberts says the president gave her a “chill.”

Unless you’ve been living under a rock — or you’ve been too busy to pay attention over the past 24-hours — Obama announced his personal support for same-sex marriage. But what you might have missed is the power that his words purportedly had over Roberts, the journalist specifically chosen by the White House to give the president a platform for his announcement.

Real Clear Politics provides a recap of Roberts’ description of the emotions she felt during her dialogue with Obama:

“Whatever people think about this issue, we know it’s controversial, there’s no denying when a president speaks out for the first time like that, it is history,” co-host of ABC’s “Good Morning America” George Stephanopoulos said to Robin Roberts.

And let me tell you, George, I’m getting chills again,“ ”Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts said about her interview with Obama.

“When you sit in that room and you hear him say those historic words. It was not lost on anyone in there right there. You never know what he’s going to say until you ask him,” she added.

      Indeed, I experience a chill to my very bones, also referred to as “The Creeps” when I hear my president proclaim his evil, self-serving desire for us to embrace, support and accept homosexuality into the very kernel of American life—the family unit. He is asking us to pretend along with him the gay lifestyle is not a degnerate practice, but one from which we all will benefit. Who does he think he’s fooling?

      He is a sick and weak man selling his presidential opinions to any cretan willing to buy them. What will he barter away tomorrow to remain in power? I fear this answer…..there, I just felt that chill again. It’s a protective mechanism God provides to us, which helps us sense and recognize evil as it’s creeping up behind us.

      This man’s soul is sick, and, therefore, he must go!

      Colorado voted against gay marriage, but the teachers here are OBSESSED, they IDOLIZE him like the Germans did in the same Hitler-esque obsession. I have a 15 year old in school and he says his teachers have framed posters on the walls and some talk about him every day… as dumb as the kids are around here, they should focus on teaching rather than indoctrinating. Go to the high school and you see a bunch of kids with pierced faces, Mohawks, neon colored hair, pants hanging around their thighs…
      For the most part, Colorado has been going Conservative though, except for Denver (welfare people), Boulder (famous for crazy hippies), Greeley (famous for illegal immigrants), and Fort Collins (only slightly Liberal probably because of CSU kids). Fort Collins could turn the state red this year though. The thrill seems to be gone… except for the typical worthless teachers. It seems like Colorado was only excited about having the first black President in 2008, but now most people seem to have realized Obama was a HUGE mistake.
      Don’t blame me; I tried to warn them. I even remember trying to warn them about the housing bubble while Bush was in office… they wouldn’t listen then neither.
      They said, “The housing market has nothing to do with the economy.”
      How stupid could they be?!
      A lot of kids lost their homes and lovers and moved back in with their parents, so they may vote differently this time.

    I love the strategy don’t you? Get the lefty mouthpiece Stephanopolous to intervew the lefty mouthpiece Roberts about her “feelings” about the “historic” announcement. A position everyone knew Obama embraced anyway..ok..apparently it was a mystery to Roberts.

It’s apparently noble and enlightened to assert that, after millenia, marriage is suddenly a “right”. This is a relatively new development (no more than half a century) brought to you by the wonderful progressives on both team D and team R. This flies in the face of overwhelming precedent across time, cultures, races, religions, geography… what have you. And this is BEFORE you consider the ham-fisted manner in which marriage is suddenly redefind from being the union of male to female.
      But, as progressives have “evolved’ their definition of rights, they’ve asserted that self-defense is not a right (see the U.N., the E.U., the U.K. and even the U.S.). Oh, and the unborn have no right to life. But cell phones are a right. Go figure.
      Yeah, maybe we should all be feeling a chill.
