On Tuesday, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), an organization devoted to electing pro-life candidates to public office, announced the inception of a $150,000 television ad campaign that will be airing across Missouri. Its purpose? To expose President Barack Obama’s purportedly “extreme record on abortion.” To deliver its message, the organization shares the story of Melissa Ohden, a woman who survived a failed abortion attempt.

In a statement released about the television campaign, SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser made it clear that the purpose of the first video release is to add a human face to the abortion debate. Additionally, it very clearly serves to showcase, in the organization’s view, how deeply anti-life Obama has been throughout his political career.

“President Obama’s appalling record on abortion is not just limited to his four votes to deny rights to abortion survivors but spans to his recent heartless refusal to support bans on sex-selection and late-term abortions,” Dannenfelser says in the release. “These actions fly in the face of mainstream American views and run counter to the President’s first term pre-election talk of finding common ground.”

In the video, Ohden describes her own, personal story surrounding abortion survival, highlighting how she was saved following a botched procedure. Additionally, she recaps some contentious facts about Obama’s record on the matter. Here’s a partial transcript:

“I was aborted, and my body discarded…like I didn’t exist.

But a nurse heard me crying…and cared enough to save my life.

There’s something else you may not know…when he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from a failed abortion. Not once, but four times.

I know that it is by the grace of God I am alive today…if only to ask America this question:

Is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward? Leadership that would discard the least and the weakest among us?”

This is the first video in a series that will take aim at Obama’s allegedly “extremist record on abortion.” SBA List may place similar ads in media markets in states like North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin. The group has also launched a bus tour to speak out against Obama on his abortion stance. The five-state tour is called “Women Speak Out: Abortion is Not Health Care.”

      I still remember this fact, Obama’s obsessive stance on partial birth abortion even shocked Hillary and Teddy the swimmer.

      If you ever hear the audio of him from a NPR interview before he was President, it will make your blood run cold.

      When asked what should be done if the abortion goes wrong, and the baby survives.

      His reply was, well, you have to kill it! I’ve never been able to get that out of my mind, he called a living human a it, and proposed a death sentence!

      Thank God that Melissa Ohden escaped his death squad, I wish her a wonderful long life.

      He pretty much did a present on all the other issues. Oh, wait, he voted to allow adult book stores to operate near schools.

      More then likely from the influence of his Homosexual “Safe School Czar” Kevin Jennings.

      I live in his overtaxed Chicago hell hole, we do considerate it a good day here if we don’t get shot though.

      In response to Expatjames question. This is very close to the old NPR audio, which played on WLS here in Chicago a few time in the past. He does address the fetus as a it in this audio also from 2003.

      It is only natural for Obama to hold this extreme position on abortion. Before anything else, Obama is a Marxist, and the marxists hold all human life in contempt with the exception of those capable of producing for the “state.”

      The Romney capaign has done itself, and all of us a favor by having the ****** to bring this out for the public to see. This is not a new issue, only one that will be getting a more widespread hearing for the first time.

      Once Obama’s contempt for human life is brought to the American public under the spotlight of the Presidential campaign, it will be much easier to bring the rest of his Marxist philosophy out into the open. At that point, he will have no place to hide, other than the MSNBC restroom.

      Great commercial. Put a face to abortion. Ask someone “would you like to have been aborted?” It’s as simple as that. I don’t think many people are going to say “yes, I wish I would have been aborted.” Hit the Obama machine hard. Keep chipping away at his Bolshevism. Show that Obama is the radical.       My blood always runs cold at abortion in general. I just can’t get my mind around it. I was talking about Obama’s policy in “finishing the job” and leaving the baby on a shelf, just trying to get a perspective on how anyone could justify that and my friend didn’t let me down, “You have to realize the original intent was to kill the baby to begin with so leaving it alive wouldn’t serve the purpose of having the abortion.” I threw up a little.

    If you want to totally dehumanize the situation you could consider pregnancy as a signed rental agreement. You signed the agreement to have a renter by your actions (sex) so now you can wait 9 months for the lease (pregnancy) to be up. A renter could always burn the house down (complications) by accident but we don’t kill renters because they are inconvenient (I don’t want this). Laws that include the possible health dangers to the mother are a sham because you can always find a doctor that will say all pregnancies are dangerous so all kids can be killed.

      God doesn’t seem to care. He surely hasn’t done a thing to prevent abortion. It‘s almost like God cares more about the mother’s rights than that of the fetus. I mean, God, being omnipotent, could just zap the soul into another fetus. It’s not like the bag of flesh that makes up the child is actually the child right? Or God could have just prevented the pregnancy from occurring in the first place. But god cares no more about unborn children than children who are molested, abused, or murdered as he does nothing to prevent that from happening either. God seems to care more about the absolute, uninterrupted free will of child molesters, child abusers, and murderers more than the well being of a child. It‘s almost as if we live in a universe where there is either a god that is indifferent to human suffering or a god doesn’t exist.

      How many rape and incest babies do you think there are you brainless hick. Fortunately not a lot to go around. There are a lot more drug babies, a by product of the drug culture promoted by the left. My family and I are pro life and have provided foster care and adopted children all through the years. It was a rich and rewarding experience. Your comment here makes it sound like a hassel. First of all, one has to qualify and it’s not easy to be qualified. Of course you don’t have a clue, but like most liberals make ignorant statements to show your hate for life and those who respect it, especially if its a conservative.       DIR…GBFREAK…don’t worry about WHACKO. The clownshoes posts under a lot of names here. All he does is hurl drive-by insults instead of posting anything credible.
      He doesn‘t even have the integrity to answer for Obama’s debt and joblessness while demanding Obama gets re-elected.
      He’s apparently a “busy” retiree who has “plenty of money” and who claims he once worked as a desk clerk in a hotel where Romney was a guest at one time and Romney upset him with his words while the “Bain Boys” further upset little WHACKO because they didn’t coddle and adore him for doing his job. Bear in mind..all this has only taken place in WHACKO’s imagination anyway..but according to WHACKO..the incident left him so scarred that he defends his entire left wing ideology on that one traumatic encounter..that happened entirely in his imagination.
      But ask WHACKO to explain Obama’s $6 trillion in new debt when he promised to halve it by the end of his first term.       Thanks for the heads up. You provide some very interesting comments and information. Whereas Wango is concerned, the old coot is definitely certifiable. I’m not really worried about Wango. If I was one of those protesters dressed up in a designer Vad-gina outfit that might be another story. I understand he’s a huge liberal hemorrhoid on the rear end of humanity, not just the blaze, as are most the trolls that come here. It appears to me their primary goal is to aggravate. These idiots are deluded into thinking they have the high ground on abortion, racism and other issues for with which they demonstrate their hypocritical and illogical though processes through their incredibly stupid statements. Sadly they don’t have the good sense to get off the railroad tracks when a train approaches let alone morally and rationally discuss such improtant issues. Their smug condisention beckons, often, to be challened. From my vantage point this instance was one of those golden moments.

    I find it hilarious that when it comes to strong images and disturbing pictures, the left cannot or will not allow them in the case of abortions but when it comes to smoking, watch out! We will plaster the images on the packs of cigarettes, the billboards and anywhere possible to deter smoking but abortion imagery is forbidden. Sounds like they feel guilty knowing all along that what they do is not science or medicine but butchery!

      what I don‘t understand is that people who are for abortion don’t seem to realize that a baby is a whole other body, being, person that is growing. a baby is NOT part of the mothers body so she has NO right to kill it. I don’t know why that is so difficult to understand. I figured that was common knowledge. I hope people will wake up and see things for what they really are and not what they make it up to be.

      D-Fence……….My sister and her husband adopted their only two children back in the late 60′s. They and their children may not even be alive today if abortion had been legal and socially acceptable back then. By the way they always knew they were adopted, that they were much loved and wanted children.

    I cannot believe the number of women that I have spoken to that do not have the slightest idea of how Obama has voted through the years regarding abortion. The so called “war on women” that he says is being waged by Republlicans is a total falsehood. An informed electorate is the best weapon that can be forged against this administration that has built its foundation on a base of sand (lies).       Not THIS woman. I cherish my children. I remember the joy my husband and I felt when the test came back positive. I marveled at every stage of my pregnancies. I miss feeling them kick and squirm inside of me. We hold dear the first moment we laid eyes on each one of them. And we watch in amazement every single day as they grow up and become more independent. There is no way in hell anyone can convince me that my children, or any child, is merely a blob of cells devoid of life before he or she is born. Someone who can believe otherwise is as cold-hearted and uncaring as they come.

If women really cared about this issue, and wanted this barbaric practice stopped, or at the very least highly regulated, they would of sent out a cry years ago that would of shook the most liberal Democrat into making this a very, very, very seldom used practice. As it is now, women evidently don’t even care if outfits like Planned Parenthood shield pedophiles from authorities, or accept donations earmarked for killing a certain race of baby.       Ted, I won’t even try to make excuses for my fellow women. It’s true that there are many who have fallen for the garbage spewed by feminists and the men who seek to take advantage of them. But all of the women I know are against abortion and are happy to be mothers. Perhaps my circle of friends is unique like that. I just know that as a Christian woman and a mother, I simply cannot fathom how anyone could advocate killing babies, especially as a means of birth control. And during my years of working in healthcare, I have seen plenty of OB/GYN patients with despicable pregnancy histories (read: repeat elective aborters) who have no problem utilizing this barbaric practice instead of exercising self control and personal responsibility.

      Testify, brother! There are times when I shudder at the thought of women voting (like when some were quoted as saying that they voted for whoever because he was “cute” – bleh!), but I’m glad I have the right – and I use it responsibly. You’re right when you say that only women can truly stop this. But it doesn’t help when there are people with vested interests working to perpetuate the lie with gullible women who want to be politically correct or who are too stupid to do their own thinking and research. I’m trying to bring attention to the atrocities being carried out day in and day out by Planned Parenthood. There are more women and mothers like me out there and we are beginning to be heard. I pray that one day we will be able to drown out the lies and convince more people that life is truly sacred and that babies are not biohazardous waste to be disposed of for convenience.

      OK, gotta get back to work. Millions of Odumber voters on welfare are depending on our taxes to buy them their next 40. :)

      Ted, on one hand I want to say no, but on the other….. There are sooooooo many factors that make me want to say “YES!!!” However, I would venture to say that if it wasn’t for the social “progressive” upheaval of the 60‘s we wouldn’t have a lot of the problems we have now. Also, by playing gender politics, Dems have been able to sucker an awful lot of women into falling for their brand of garbage.

      I guess what I’m trying to say is that allowing uniformed, hysterically emotional (liberal) women to vote is/was a huge mistake. I’m going to leave it at that lest some feminazi get her tighty whities all in a bunch.
