Accused Shooter Anders Breivik Weeps During Trial After Creepy Anti-Muslim Video Plays

The accused Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik broke down in tears during the first day of his trial, though not at the time one might expect.

According to reports, Breivik calmly entered the court room and gave a closed fist salute.  He showed little emotion when the prosecution played footage of the carnage he wreaked, and sat in silence when they played a recording of a frantic young woman calling her mother amid the mayhem.

He did, however, shed plenty of tears when the court played a 12-minute, anti-Muslim video he posted on YouTube before the attack.  The Telegraph captured footage of the event, which it interspersed with images from the video:

Breivik admits to killing 8 in an Oslo bomb blast last July, and then 69 in a subsequent shooting spree, but is pleading “not guilty” as, in his mind, the attack was self-defense.

The defendant maintains that Norway’s embrace of multiculturalism is a threat to the country, and defines himself as a modern-day Crusader “who will save Europe.”

He said at the onset of the trial: “I don’t recognize the Norwegian courts because you get your mandate from the Norwegian political parties who support multiculturalism.”

Raw footage of the trial shows Breivik shaking hands and smiling before making the comments:

The courts continued to examine Breivik’s life before the trial, showing photos of the messy room he occupied in his mother’s house, examining his six failed businesses, and making note of the many hours of “World of Warcraft” he reportedly played.

CNN reports that Breivik smiled when his “Warcraft” character was shown, one of the few times he showed emotion on Monday.

Many Norwegians are worried that Breivik will use the trial to draw attention to his extremist views, as the manifesto he published prior to the attack said that “patriotic resistance fighters” should use trials as a “platform to further [the] cause.”

It is up to the courts to determine whether or not Breivik is insane, as the two reports thus far have conflicted.  Though he can only receive a maximum prison sentence of 21 years if found insane, Breivik calls the allegation that he is mentally unstable “ridiculous,” and is trying to prove his sanity in the case.

“It’s going to be 10 weeks of hell … to hear this man, to hear his explanation of why he did it and how he did it,” Trond Blattmann, whose son was killed by Breivik, said.

    I wish the press would get their fact right about this guy.

    1. He killed a group of of 17 – 25 year olds NOT KIDS who were attending a youth indoctrination political camp run by the party in power in his country.

    2. The guy on trial was angry at the party in power because he felt Muslims were out of control killing and raping European women (google Muslims rape European women or Google Muslims rape Christians) and that sharia was being practiced openly and sometimes in the courts and being tolerated by the political power in power

    3. He felt his country’s culture was being out-maneuvered by Muslims taking advantage of political correctness and by the exploding Muslim population in Europe including his country .

    4. So she shot up his country’s president political party indoctrination camp. He killed 77 people (ALL considered adults if they ever committed a crime in this country) in order to make a point that THAT his president (and party) is allowing a Muslim gradual takeover of their country and culture.

    In 60 years when that county and Europe are under Sharia law, European grandchildren will look back and reflect on how they are now second class citizens in their own forefather’s country and their ancestors did nothing about it.

    The ignorant morons on Fox and Friends and NBC said NOTHING as to why he shot up that political indoctrination camp – they just said he killed non-Christians and called it a youth camp. PATHETIC

There is NO WAY any sane person can even try to justify the actions of this maniac.       Sol, no Christian in their right mind would defend Breivik. Most people here see him as a monster. To me, calling him a monster is an understatement. Sadly, there are trolls and nuts who come here with the goal of sabotage, and thus the rotten apples spoil the bunch.

    I am not so sure someone hasn’t set this guy up by drugging him. I do recall them saying he was being given a lot of drugs in prison and his lawyers were asking for it to stop. We need to be aware that some crazy stuff is going to happen. I find it kind of hard to believe this one guy pulled all this off by himself. Kind of reminds me of Sgt. Bales. I think we need to get ready for stuff like this. The far left loves to call him a Christian right-wing murderer. Psyops? The manifesto they claim he wrote was too confusing and seemed to be exactly what the far left would want him to say. The things going on in the world today makes my head spin. May God be with all those hurt by this and the truth be known. May God be with us all.

    Breivik should have went Charles Bronson, a la DeathWish, on 30 or so Muslim rapists. There is a rape epidemic in Norway & intolerant Muslims.

    Muslim immigration goes up & rape goes up at the same time.

    Meanwhile Leftist academics blame Norwegian women.

    I do not excuse his reprehensible act, but I understand his issues with Islam destroying the northern European countries. Muslims do not want to assimilate, they want to colonize and replace the existing populations. They are even trying to hide their goals, Norway and others in the liberal governments are blind.

      It isn’t just Northern Europe, it is all of Europe, America and the rest of the West. Our descendents will look back on those of use living during the time of 9/11 and curse our memory to Hell for having not taken the chance we had to stop the spread of Islam when it could still be stopped. People need to really let that sink in, your descendents will hate you with a passion that you cannot currently even grasp.

    From what I saw on the news he said that his culture was being torn apart by people who did not belong in his country. Well, welcome to the new world order! Not like you have any say how many from what country comes to yours, just like ours! The worst part about it is when they start dictating to your government! (Sharia for instance)

    I don’t mind others coming here for a better life and becoming Americans! I would not want any of my freedoms or rights to be taken away!

    So what will Anders Breivik get for killing 77 innocents, most of them teenagers?

    Not only did he succeed in spreading his message, but he will get free room and board for the rest of his life and never work another day. Heck, they’ll probably let him play WoW in his cell/suite.

    That is what a liberal calls justice.

    So was Muhammad insane when he killed entire tribes of Jews in Arabia? Or was he just evil? Well guess what, he went on to found a religion that enslaves people to this day.

    Those who do see the West committing suicide through the importation of millions more third world immigrants than can ever be actually assimilated, and millions of Muslims whosreligionon forbids them from fully embracing the equal rights and beliefs which are the foundation of Westercivilizationon, feel that tears are in order but perhaps seeing that there does seem to be no way to save the West, the shock and dismay prevents even tears, shock is the only emotion that one can feel. For the West to save itself it will come to a civil war at some point, and many will likely be killed as in any warrogueue actions such as what this guy did just can’t be condoned or encouraged. But we have to be honest and recognize that the longer the West delays confronting the problems of Islam within our borders and mass third world immigration, the more deadly will be any battles that would ultimately save the West.

      He said he was 100% Christian because of his ethnic background, not religious faith. All of this should have been made clear to you by the conservative media. You should probably know better than to listen to the liberal media. He said he did it for the Christian culture. Not for the Christian faith. If you can’t see what the difference is you should probably look the words up and review his “Manifesto.” He was a Culture warrior, not a religious warrior. Muslims do it for a religious war because Muhammad spread Islam through religious/ holy war (jihad), and terror, . Jesus never did anything like it, so therefore it was not, and can not be inspired by Christ. I just made it as clear as a bell for you and I did not do it because I am Christian because I am not. Don‘t twist it up because you don’t know the facts.

      Gums, it really makes no difference if the Bible does not have a concept of jihad like the Koran has. He does indeed identify as a Christian and did his killings in the name of Christianity — even if you choose to label it an “ethnic” category in this case. I have no idea how “Muslim” every single one of the 9/11 terrorists were, but I’ll bet some identified more with the ethnic group than with the faith. I certainly wouldn’t call them anything other than terrorists. I am, by the way, Christian. You don’t need to dig too deeply into history to find Christians who did many ugly things. To not call what Breivik did terrorism is simply an intellectual cop out. Any faith, in extreme, can be used to justify terrorism.

      That is not true, some of the greatest civilizations the world has known have fallen to Islam. Islam was created by Satan and is therefore uniquely cunning and able to fool even the most earnest. It doesn’t play by the same rules as Christians or non-Muslims and exploits every single impulse that non-Muslims have to be good. And since it kills those who try to leave it, it can only grow. Think of Islam an inoperable cancer, you have to cut it out or it will eventually kill you. And you don’t blame someone who gets cancer for their own death, even if they were a smoker and likely contributed to it.

    He should have just abandoned his nation if if is really worried about Muslims taking over. Because Muslims when Muslims have the whole world, they will exterminate each other until there is but a few million people in the earth.
