Anthony Mangione, a top federal agent in south Florida who has built his career fighting child pornography, is now under investigation for allegedly having kiddie porn stored on his computer. Mangione is the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s south Florida office.
According to the Miami Herald, “The agency has aggressively targeted child pornography, with Mangione frequently speaking out against ‘predators’ who illegally share images through their computers.”
As special agent in charge of ICE’s South Florida office, Mangione’s name often graced press releases lauding the agency’s efforts to fight child pornography, in both the cyber and real worlds. In statements, he talked about using technology to combat child pornography and his agency’s resolve to combat the crime.
“Too many children are victimized by predators that target the most vulnerable among us — our children,” Mangione said in a 2009 press release announcing that a 20-year-old Palm Beach County man was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison on child porn charges.
Mangione was planning to retire this summer. He has served his entire federal career with ICE and its predecessor, the U.S. Customs Service.
Federal officials, speaking anonymously because they were not authorized to comment on the record, expressed shock over the allegations.
FBI agents searched Mangione’s home and office this weekend for the alleged kiddie porn stored on his computer. No word yet on what they found.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 9:02pmInnocent until proven guilty. This case does stink, bad if he is being set up,worse if he is a pedophile. It is true though that unprotected servers and PCs can be remotely used by anyone with a decent set of hacking skills. Its a tragedy for all involved, except the producers of this kind of filth. Like the war on drugs, its a failure because only low level users are ever prosecuted and convicted to a high degree.
Report Post »As to why is ICE involved : because of human trafficking and international commerce.
It sure is a shame that you can go online and find every sex offender in your city but you can’t go online and find the producers of kiddie porn.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 11:41pmYou know why the producers and trafficers of kids are never prosecuted is simply because they pay more in bribes and give up low level people so the government can say they are protecting us from them. Ever wonder why they always during budget disputes on your local and state levels they threaten to or let out the pedophiles and murders and rapist and violent offenders to scare the general public into paying more money in taxes. They get on tv telling us that they must layoff all the cops and jailers and must let the worst out instead of nonviolent drug offenders because of mandetory sentences.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 8:42pmYou know, it amazes me that this stuff is provided by all the internet service providers (ISP’s), yet when there is an investigation, the focus is only on the end-user’s computer! There is some real crap out there, including snuff. If it’s against the law for the user, then it’s against the law for the pipe that put it there! (Magazine, CD, DVD, ISP, etc.) Maybe if they put ‘Ma Bell’ (or her modern equivalent) in jail, then there would be fewer end-users! On the other hand, as sick as it is, maybe it’s a 1st amendment issue and reflective of our corroded society! No wonder the Muslims hate us! (Although, they apparently surf for porn while sitting in their legislature!)

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 8:57pmI agree completely. I think the cops are putting child porn on the Internet themselves to sting as many as they can, just like fake hookers on the streets. Search for something like “mature gallery”. You‘ll see thumbnails of lots of sexy older women but when you click on the picture instead of seeing an older woman about 1 out of ten or twenty times you’ll see child porn. Why is this stuff not being taken off the net?

The Song “Alejandro”…. sung by Lady Gaga
Very subtle the devil sneeks into our lifes to get his dirty feet in the door to steal and destroy souls…
We don’t even realise it – and just by singing together with the lyrics of a seemingly ‘innocent’ song with a nice tune, we open the door wider for his evil spirit!!
‘Alejandro’ means: Mans defender and protector’ (GOD).
‘Fernando’ means: Ardent for peace (JESUS).
‘Roberto’ means: Bright or shiningly frame (HOLY SPIRIT).
‘Babe’ is the same as ‘Child’
“Don’t call my name, don’t call my name, Alejandro(GOD).
I’m not your child, i’m not your child, Fernando (JESUS)
Don’t call my name, don’t call my name, Roberto (HOLY SPIRIT)
Alejandro. Alejandro(GOD), Just let me go.”
-Lady Gaga-
People, please stop listening to Lady Gaga; real name “Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta”, Encourage especially your children and grand children not to listen to this woman’s music!
She sold her soul to the devil for fame and fortune..

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 8:35pmNot making an excuse for the guy, but there was a case where malware would make computers a server for file sharing, it would run in the background and in some cases, stuff was loaded onto computers without the owners knowledge. A govt worker had his computer infected and they proved what this program was doing, it included setting the computer up for a kiddie porn server. The guy and several others were cleared, so everytime you hear of these cases, sometimes, and it is very rare, they are not guilty. But it is easy to tell, has the file been accessed, when, how many times, where was it stored, etc.
Shoot, if he mad enough people mad, an administrator could upload anything to his computer.
But as I said, this Not Guilty is in very, very few cases.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 9:59pmI‘m wondering if our government hasn’t already perfected mind control through wireless networks. This country is undergoing an explosion of these-type of crimes. When you think about it… all that is required to send you to prison and be branded a sex criminal for your entire life is kiddie porn on your hard drive. Is our country this screwed up? Or is this a darker agenda to criminalize all of society, stripping them of gun rights and carte blanche.
