Actor Richard Gere: Obama Probably ‘One of Our Great Presidents’

Despite voicing some slight criticism over the way that the president has handled China’s abysmal human rights record, actor Richard Gere still thinks Obama has done an “excellent job” and will “go down probably as one of our great presidents.”

Gere, a Buddhist, made the comments to CNS News last week after testifying on Capitol Hill about Tibet. And just wait until  you see how he delivered them:

CNS News reports:

After his testimony, CNSNews.com asked Gere, “Has President Obama, in your mind, been tough enough on China regarding human rights?”

Gere said, “No, no, he [Obama] has a ways to go. I think he’s finding his way of how forceful to be. I know what his own private feelings are – those are clear.”

“I think he’s also finding out with the Chinese you have to be very frontal,” said Gere. “You have to be very clear. You have to be unconfused and you must be very strong. I think he’s getting there but he could be stronger, yes.”

CNSNews.com also asked Gere, “Are you supportive of his job performance overall?”

Gere said, “Overall, I think he’s done an extraordinary job.  I think he’s going to go down probably as one of our great presidents.”

“He’s been able to juggle – let’s think of all of the problems that he’s had in his presidency,” said the actor.  “You know, natural disasters, or international issues, domestic. He has found a way to change and flow to learn from every situation.”

I think of actors this way. The court jester can stand in the room and make an a$$ of himself, tell all sorts of funny jokes and stories. That doesn’t mean the “King” (we the people) should let him run the kingdom or even take him seriously!

All these Hollywood people think they are God’s gift to us. When movies were new, that might have been the case, but we all recognize they are just idiots who can remember lines with the help of prompt cards and in real life don’t we all act? No longer do people look up to them as they‘ve shown what sicko’s they are, who have more problems than most of us. Anything they endorse, I won’t buy.

In the EPIC battle for the title of SUPREME DEPRAVED HOLLYWOOD DEGENERATE, geer throws his hat in the ring and fights back against charlie sheen, the current front runner. Who will win? When will paris hilton fully enter the contest? Where’s lohan? Has mel gibson given up? Let‘s not forget hugo chavez’s boy, the despicable America-hater and pathetic drug-addict sean penn – who is a very, very strong contender for the title. This battle is clearly the TOP concern of all Americans and the rest of the world – nothing else really matters. Go, hollywood degenerates, go !!!!!

It is all about feelings for these losers, They feel better at night with their millions of dollars and fancy homes if they think those with nothing are getting something from all of those that really work in America (i.e. the middle class) They don’t care what these programs do to use hard working americans we keep going to their movies! Get into your fatigues Mayo. By the end of this weekend, you’ll quit… praising a usurper.

Obama’s Kenyan father precluded his being a “natural born citizen” meaning born on U.S. soil of U.S. citizen parents; he is further ineligible by dual citizenship for being born a British citizen pursuant to the British Nationality Act of 1948.[1]

The Art 2, Sec 1, exemption from being a NBC, “or a citizen of the United States …” wasn’t needed if NBC just means a citizen!

Each authoritative definition of a NBC stipulates citizen parents (plural). First Congress, Ses II, Chp 3, Sec I, 104, 1790: “the children of citizens.” Bingham, House floor, 1866: “of parents not owing allegiance.” Supreme Court, Minor v. Happersett, 1874: “of parents who were its citizens.” Senate Res 511, 2008: “born to American citizens.”

Congress is hiding behind the birth certificate controversy rather than act and jeopardize reelection. Their deceptive dereliction of duty was deftly codified by rhetorically requesting guidance from the CRS on just the birth certificate issue. The expected reply was the infamous Maskell memorandum.[2]

Demand congress support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic by removing Obama now!

Barack Obama is the greatest president who has a record of dividing the masses, lying to the public, destroying our economy, spending most of his time playing his sports and vacationing, bowing to Muslims, ramrodding legislation that no one wants, betraying our friends, breaking federal law, overreaching the Constitution, surrounding himself with radicals and Communists, and usurping the White House.

As far as regulations I’m not sure Obama has put through anymore or less than any other president. As far as drilling permits check the facts regarding the 200+ the industry has not acted on. Not sure how parroting claims and information put forth by corporate interests that seek to further concentrate wealth and degrade the US economy is regarded as insightful or useful.

YOUR freaking president volunteered us to go into Lybia and didn’t even bother to clear it with congress. Little Q&A here, did Bush go to congress before sending us into Iraq? Answer well yes he did and congress overwhelmingly approved it, if you want to keep on harping about the intelligence that led to us going in go ahead but also remember than Saddam had gassed the Iranians and the Kurds and those gasses are considered weapons of mass destruction. Using Bush as an example for anything just goes to prove what a moron you are because no one on here even said anything about Bush until you decided in all your wisdom to bring him up and I doubt seriously that anyone would try to defend him, but you using him to DEFEND BHO is beyond idiotic, everything that Bush did your boy has doubled down on, remember the patriot act and guantanamo? How about ramming an Unconstitutional healthcare package down American throats through back room , corrupt deals and special interest waivers.
Maybe it was putting us in a third war without even going through Congress(something Bush never did)
Maybe it is his attempts are destroying America’s economy with a cap and trade package that would drive Americans energy prices through the roof.
Perhaps it was his moratorium that banned Americans companies from drill for oil killing thousand s and thousands of jobs all the while giving billiona to brazil to expand their oil drill and create more jobs in their country.

The public pays money to escape reality for awhile. That is what Hollywood is supposed to do. Then their ego kicks in and they think we care what they think on a personal level? Couldn’t care less what an actor or actress thinks. Get over your narcasistic self please:) Oh, and tell Sean Penn also. He really anoys me:)
