(Updated) Adzheimers? Delaware TV Station ‘Forgets’ to Air O’Donnell Documentary

You can call it an “oops” an “oh no!“ or a ”someone’s going to get fired,” but Christine O’Donnell has her own theory as to why a local TV station in Delaware did not air her new documentary-style campaign video this morning, scheduled for 10 am.
“Dirty politics again?” O’Donnell tweeted in response to the news. “I‘d like to think the County run station really did just ’forget’ even though we reminded them this morning.”
It was unclear exactly what station was at fault, however O’Donnell may be referencing a tweet from earlier this morning, which would implicate Channel 28:
A quick trip over to Channel 28′s website seems to confirm that hunch. As of the writing of this story, the station’s live stream featured the O’Donnell video, over an hour-and-a-half later than when it was scheduled to air:
(H/T: Gateway Pundit)
UPDATE:
According to the Washington Post, the station “forgot” to air the ad not once, but twice:
She told supporters at a Tea Party Express rally on Sunday in Wilmington to watch that night at 11:30. “Tell everyone to tune in,” she said at the rally.
“1 minute until the premiere of our 30 minute feature. Tune in to meet all the heart warming people I’ve met on the campaign trail. Ch. 28,” O’Donnell tweeted Sunday night.
But the ad never aired.
A few minutes later, O’Donnell tweeted: “Okay… this is NOT our show! Must be a programming mix up. We will get back to you…”
The source, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive campaign operations, said the station “forgot to air it.”
Then on Monday morning, O‘Donnell’s campaign issued a press release saying the ad would air on Channel 28 at 10 a.m. The candidate tweeted: “The Inspiring TV show about Delawareans will air at 10 aam and 3 pm today on Channel 28. Please watch this before you vote.”
And again, it did not air.
“This isn’t our show either! We are told channel 28 ‘forgot’ to air it…both times… even though we paid for the time slot last week,” O’Donnell tweeted shortly after 10 a.m.
UPDATE II:
The case of the missing campaign ad just got more, well, political. CNN is reporting that Channel 28 has responded to the “forgot” claims from the O’Donnell camp, and is blaming the campaign for not getting the ad to him in time. It‘s important to note first that the channel’s operator (Tim Qualls) calls himself an O’Donnell supporter, further complicating O‘Donnell’s claims of “dirty politics”:
Qualls told CNN that the campaign was given a Friday afternoon deadline to submit the ad and failed to deliver it on time. He says he needs 48 hours from delivery to be able to put an ad on his channel.
“We didn’t receive the show until Saturday night,” Qualls said in a phone interview. “They showed up at my employee’s house…at 11 p.m.”
Qualls, who said he’s been inundated with phone calls, said he supported O’Donnell but “she’s losing my vote rapidly.”
“I hate the fact that she‘s put it out there that it’s politics,” he said.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:32pmThe real complaint is that she paid to have it air live on TV…. so what if they loop it on the internet… that is not who she really wants to reach. I hope she can sue their butts off for this and is able to force them to air in even better time slots than she had before.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:24pmOur constitution grants the press broader freedoms than other businesses in exchange for which they are supposed to protect the people’s interests by keeping us informed. There is no other watchdog over the press – no checks and balances on them other than the people’s willingness to support the press financially. It is unfortunate that the mainstream press has become so liberal – far more liberal than the population at large.
Blatant examples of press corruption abound – of which this story and the Alaska voice mail last night are but the latest. I’m willing to trust the American people to make the best choices – IF they are given the truth. The mainstream press are obviously not willing to trust us because they will not give us the truth. The only way I can think of to correct this is to defund them by cancelling our subscritions to their rags, boycotting their advertisers, and using word-of-mouth to encourage your friends and neighbors to listen to Fox News instead of ABC, CBS, & NBC and their corrupt affiliates.

This is manipulation – once again – by the media, which is supposed to be objective. That’s journalism 101. That’s why we have the free press in America. Posted on November 1, 2010 at 1:07pmDid you watch the stream? Apparently not it is very powerful and the question does arise was this a deliberate attempt to keep favorable content about O’Donnell hidden from the voters. It looks to me like she is addressing real issues and things that will directly impact her constituents. Don’t just say she is useless back up what you say! Give us real examples and facts as to why she will do an inferior job than the “bearded Marxist” who will be a puppet and automatic rubber stamp to Obama which we the people have had more than our fill of and have wholeheartedly rejected.
If you have the proof lay it out and let the Delaware voters decide if your conclusion of her is correct. Did you come to this assessment with real facts and or first hand sources or have you bought into the far left and Republican establishments shameless efforts to smear her reputation? Come on give us some intelligent opposition here!
