AFL-CIO Highlights Leftist’s Prank Call to Gov. Walker in New Ad

The Wisconsin chapter of the AFL-CIO has released a new television advertisement that highlights portions of a recorded prank call conversation between Gov. Scott Walker and a liberal writer impersonating industrialist David Koch.  Note the tiny mention of how the phone call was a set-up:

Since the prank call, the Koch impersonator has been identified as Ian Murphy, a liberal writer from Buffalo, N.Y.

MSNBC‘s Lawrence O’Donnell seemed happy to shine to the limelight on Murphy Wednesday evening during a primetime interview.  However, the left should be wary in crowning Murphy as their new hero.  Murphy’s writings at his Buffalo Beast publication are downright despicable.  In one article, titled “F**k the Troops,” Murphy unleashes a tirade against American service members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, characterizing them as rapists who “volunteer to murder people.”

(Warning: excerpt contains graphic language.)

So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo fucking hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.

Likely, just reading the above paragraph made you uncomfortable. But why?

The benevolence of America’s “troops” is sacrosanct. Questioning their rectitude simply isn’t done. It’s the forbidden zone. We may rail against this tragic war, but our soldiers are lauded by all as saints. Why? They volunteered to partake in this savage idiocy, and for this they deserve our utmost respect? I think not.

The nearly two-thirds of us who know this war is bullshit need to stop sucking off the troops. They get enough action raping female soldiers and sodomizing Iraqi detainees. The political left is intent on “supporting” the troops by bringing them home, which is a good thing. But after rightly denouncing the administration’s lies and condemning this awful war, relatively sensible pundits—like Keith Olbermann—turn around and lovingly praise the soldiers’ brave service to the country. Why?

What service are they providing? I don’t remember ordering 300,000 dead Iraqis—although I was doing a lot of heavy narcotics back in ‘03. Our soldiers are not providing a service to the country, they’re providing a service to a criminal administration and their oil company cronies. When a mafia don orders a hit, is the assassin absolved of personal responsibility when it’s carried out? Of course not. What if the hit man was fooled into service? We’d all say, “Tough shit, you dumb Guido,” then lock him up and throw away the key.

As a society, we need to discard our blind deference to military service. There’s nothing admirable about volunteering to murder people. There’s nothing admirable about being rooked by obvious propaganda. There’s nothing admirable about doing what you’re told if what you’re told to do is terrible.

Like I said, despicable.

But despite his amazingly radical views, CNN also heaped praise on Murphy Thursday:

Given his new-found popularity in leftist circles for “duping” Gov. Walker, will anyone on the left bother to condemn his disparaging remarks?

Since O’Donnell the first to happily grant Murphy national television exposure, might I suggest he be the first to step forward?

The Union named the United States of America is ‘The Union’. If the US Union was operating constitutionally we should NOT allow violent competition from other ‘unions’. Something wrong at work? Call the sheriff ! Do these 12 citizens agree with you?

If this is how the ‘unions’ envision the US is to be broken down, we wish you bad luck. At least our enemies are naught but loud-mouthed babies who will cease when an appropriate pacifier is replaced. I suggest the pacifier named ‘starvation’, the only God-approved mass unpopulation social product! or, we could access my ‘new and improved’ democratic republic computer tools for advanced civilizations?

I lived in Carroll County, MD for five years, and Howard County, MD for eight years. Both Counties are predominately conservative, with Carroll County being a bit more conservative, and Howard County having some Socialist type cities. All the Socialists live in Baltimore City (where Nancy Pelosi grew up) and is not in any county for some unknown reason, Baltimore County, and Prince George County. There are other counties in Maryland that are politically mixed.

Carroll County is mostly rural. It has a lot of farmland, and most single family homes sit on an acre or more. The people of Carroll County are the salt of the earth. In any kind of disaster, they would survive because they know how to take care of theirselves. They grow food, raise chickens, and have cattle farms. They see no reason to have government take care of them, when they have been taking care of theirselves, all of their lives.

SOMETHING YOU ALL SHOULD BE AWARE OF ( AND THANK GOD THESE NEW POLITICIANS KNEW)

Maryland County Abolishes Sustainable Development Office
    James Simpson
Carroll County, Maryland elected five new County Commissioners in November. These brave souls voted unanimously to get rid of all traces of the “Sustainability” agenda in the county. They abolished their “Sustainability” office and dropped out of ICLEI (the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives), the first county to do so.

This may not sound like much but is in fact, huge. The ICLEI has been busy training local governments in implementing the UN’s Agenda 21. If you recall, this was the key product of the 1992 Rio de Janeiro “Earth Summit,” where Maurice Strong, Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Environment and Development, set the tone with the following memorable quotes:

“It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class, involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and workplace air conditioning, and suburban housing, are not sustainable.

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring about?

Carroll County Commissioner Richard Rothschild campaigned on this issue, framing it as the threat to private property rights that it is. He has become something of an expert on the subject. Listen to his radio discussion of the topic here. Why aren’t more politicians this knowledgeable?

Rich is fully aware of the threats posed by Agenda 21. In a nutshell, they are:

    * Abolition of private property rights
    * Massive redistribution of income, wealth, property and even populations
    * Shifting rural voting from right to left

The first two bullet points are emphasized throughout Agenda 21 “sustainable development” documents. They are not hiding anything. The last point however-the subterranean effort to dilute the conservative vote, is one that many analysts have missed. I have written a three part series on Agenda 21, here, here and here. Part III deals extensively with this issue. Read it if you can.

Agenda 21 and sustainable development are issues custom-tailored to tea party activism. Implementation is occurring at the state and local level where tea partiers have the most leverage with elected officials. States and localities have signed unconstitutional agreements with ICLEI, agreements that have a corrupting effect on government from bottom to top, and will entrench socialism within planning and zoning mandates. This must be stopped.

If he really believes what he is saying, he really should go down to the local VA hospital and pull the plugs and kick the wounded. Then he can claim he has integrity and backs up his beliefs.
But we all know he won’t do that, he will sit in a nice safe broadcast booth and spew.
The only thing I hope is some night, when he is walking to his car, he meets up with a drug crazed mugger, and a military member comes to his rescue, he could then thank the Vet while standing there in his urine soaked pants searching for his manhood.

@ Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra
I have a nephew who is student @ Bezerkeley and very active politically, specially against anything and everything related to US military and Walmart.
A few months ago , him and his buddies went out rioting against UCB raising tuition fee , again .
I asked him what they were protesting about and he said :
” University profs gave themselves a raise, again and raised the fee on students , again”
He blamed it on Arnold the Gov, Bush ( who hadn’t been Prez for almost 2 years then ), for ruining the economy.
So I asked him a simple question :
” Where does money come from ? ”
Here is how the conversation went :
Me : Where does money come from
      Him: When people get paychecks
      Me: Who pays paychecks
      Him: People who hire employees
      Me: Who hires employees
Him: People who need any kind of work done
Me : So how do employers get money to pay employees
Him: They make money on the backs of working people
Me : Again, where does THEIR money come from
Him: Bush and Cheney are evil, they made billions of dollars by killing innocent civilians
Me : If a person is not Bush and Cheney, where does he or she get money from
Him: The feds print money for us
Me: So what are you guys rioting about, just ask feds to give more money to UC, so that fees don’t go up. Why do you pay fees anyway ?
Him: Our fee sustains the Univ Prof salaries
Me : So you are the funding UC employees with your fees , right ? What do you call those who pay their fee to the government?
      Him: Taxpayers
Me : Where do those who pay taxes to the government , get their money , if they don’t work for the government
He called his boyfriend to come on over and pick him up .

I have a friend with the same mentality, you just can’t get through to them. And in every debate I have with him, he always falls back to the Bush/Cheney blame game.
One thanksgiving I told my wife to time how long it took him to blame Bush. As we were watching football he started in on politics, and after 15 minutes, on a subject that had nothing to do with Bush, he suddenly said, “Oh yeah, well, Bush lied and got us into a war!” My wife yelled the time, he was pissed the rest of the day.

I’m sick of seeing union people and democrat politicians with signs and T-shirts that say things like “We support working families”, or “Fighting for working families”. Those cute little slogans mean butt-kiss as far as I’m concerned. If they really were FOR working families they would understand why so many people don’t like what they are doing.

The truth is… there are many more millions of working families out there that heavily outnumber union workers. You and I call them taxpayers. What our more Conservative Governors are doing is to help working families to keep more of what they worked hard for. If taxes have to be raised in order to pay union benefits, the real working families will be forking over more of their money so people that are supposed to be public servants, can have a better life than the average taxpayer. THEY WORK FOR US! If they don’t like it, they can quit and go find another job. I’m tired of unions holding a gun to the heads of our legislatures.

There needs to be a law enacted that keeps unions out of the public sector, and the reasoning is simple… they are bad for the taxpayer, you know, “the people”!

They seem to have so much money to flush down the toilet, I mean with all the struggling union’s pensions suffering short fall, how can the members justify that much waste after all the money spent on losing elections. Is the AFL-CIO just getting people mentally prepared for the fact they are going to spend millions more of the worker’s hard earned dollars on the next election? How much short fall would they have if all the money they took out of the coffers had gone into the pension fund instead of to political candidates? Workers of the US, wake up and realize you are being used – the ends justify the means – it’s not about you at all.
