After Poop-Induced Rage, Man Cruelly Throws Down Dog on Street

Talk about unleashed. A 56-year-old Long Island man lost it when his neighbor’s dachshund, Coco, approached his lawn to allegedly do her business. The man, Jaime Sanchez, was painting the outside of his house when he noticed the pup near his lawn.

After Poop Induced Rage, Man Cruelly Throws Down Dog on Street

The New York Daily News has more:

Sanchez warned [his neighnor] Bottiglieri, who lives across the street, not to let the dog do its doody on his grass or he would sic his 50-pound mutt on them both, cops and neighbors said.

“She’s constantly letting her dog defecate and urinate on our property,” said Sanchez’s wife, Antoinette, noting that there’s been a bitter feud between the neighbors for two years over parking on the street.

But when Bottiglieri threatened to call police, Sanchez walked up to the woman, snatched the leash and flung the pup 6 feet in the air – and 10 feet into the middle of the street, cops said.

The dog suffered some injuries as a result of Sanchez’ stunt, including ruptured stitches on her stomach from being recently spayed.

After the cops arrived to the scene, Sanchez was arrested and charged with torturing animals and “reckless endangerment to property.”

Let me say that while I believe this man clearly should not have reacted the way he did I understand his frustration. People are morons, I have to deal with neighbors who allow their dogs to crap in my yard all the time. I caught a guy once walking his dog, allowing him to crap right next to my mailbox. I asked what he was doing and the guy took his dog and ran off. So again while the guy who threw the dog was not right in his actions, I can understand the level of frustration that lead up to him snapping. Moral of the story, treat your neighbors with respect, no one wants to clean up your dogs ****.

The guy deserves to be punished for taking it out on the dog. I am a responsible dog owner. I pick up after my dog, and if neighbors have mentioned they don’t want him in their yards, I don’t let him go in their yards. The dog‘s owner should be punished for allowing her dog to go on the guy’s yard. But it’s even worse. She didn’t just LET her go there. She LED the dog on a leash to the neighbor’s yard. Throw her butt in jail, but don’t hurt the innocent dog.

AMEN!!!! If she had been a RESPONSIBLE dog owner, she would have kept her dog away from that man’s property at all costs. She used her dog to incite the man to rage, not so much about the dog, but to agitite him about some inane arguement over parking on the street.

Although the actions of Mr. Sanchez were a violent overreaction, the neighbor is the one really at fault. She continuously baited and aggrivated the situation. She should have also been jailed for inciting the confrontation.

Hurting a defenseless animal is pretty low i.m.o., but it seems that the ‘inconsiderate neighbor’ who owned the poor little dog should also be held responsible to some degree.
It appears that the poor little dogs owner was ‘looking for trouble’ and was shocked when he/she finally ‘found’ it. There are numerous other ways to ‘get even’ with such a bad neighbor, but taking it out on the poor dog is not a cool choice.

I’ve had to clean PEOPLE POOP out of the front door of an auto dealership Saturday morning just before opening! Everybody ELSE made remarks, but NO ONE would STOOP TO SCOOP THE POOP! I gagged three times hiking down to the dumpster with it carfully balanced on a piece of cardboard! Fortunately, I guess, it was goopy enough not to roll off the cardboard, but the odor was a show-stopper for me!!! E-GAG!!! Somebody else‘s dog poop isn’t much nicer! While I think the guy’s behavior was abominable! I ALSO think the owner bears the bulk of the responsiblity for this situation! If I had to pick it up, they might find it on the floor mat of their brand new car! (I’m a nice guy so it would be ON the floor mat, and not UNDER IT!)

      Stoic one,
Normally, I would absolutely agree with you. You seem to be a pet owner that would want to resolve any confrontation right away and take steps to make sure it doesn’t have a repeat performance. The dog owner in this story was clearly baiting the home owner. She’d been told over and over again to keep her dog away, it didn’t get away and go over there by itself, she walked it over. AND she did it when she could see that Mr. Sanchez was outside his house working on it. This is a situation in which she was hoping for a confrontation, not avoiding one. She clearly and selfishly put her own little dog in danger to try and make a point.

First off, I was pretty mad at this guy. Then I read the story again.
1 – The dog was on a leash.
2 – the owner of the dog was attached to the other end of that leash.
3 – She walked her dog ACROSS the street to allow her dog to do it’s business on this guys property.
4 – This lady had been feuding with the sanchez’ for over 2 years and had been told to keep her dog away from their property.
CONCLUSION – This lady was intentionally baiting the sanchez. I can’t say that after two years of aggravation, then being told on my own property that the lady was going to call the police on me, that I wouldn’t have blown my top as well. However, instead of throwing the dog into the street. This man should have thrown HER into the street.

Pigs are just as intelligent as dogs, so why don’t we go to jail for eating bacon? Why do we find it so repulsive that some Asians eat dogs? It is NOT the dog’s fault, so “man up” and do the proper thing and beat your neighbor into getting stitches. The perp should have taken the leash out of his hands and properly taught him the “rules of neighborly behavior’ by throwing him the beating of his life.
Sure, you must answer to the law, but your unruly neighbor would have learned a valuable lesson: “You mess with the bull, you get the horns”.

      @Quack Addict:

Most animals are smarter than you give them credit for, they know when to take shelter from the rain, they can tell when an earthquake is coming, the can tell if getting near the edge of a cliff is dangerous and will take the trail and stay on it. It is only the Humans that think that jumping out an airplane with out the ability to fly is a sport ot jump off a cliff with a piece of clothe on their back.

So your premise that animals are stupid indites your lack of knowledge on how smart God made the animals because they were all made to be mans helper but because man did not find them suitable God created woman instead. How is that working for ya???

For those of you that say dogs are nothing more than any other animal you are wrong. God made each and every animal to serve a purpose and dogs relationships with humans are like no other animal. They are special and set apart from other beasts. Having said that, i find more fault with the dogs owner than with the man himself. Its owner knowingly led it to harm simply to piss someone off.

      @ Quack Addict…

No, ‘dog people’ are not the problem. Bad pet owners and discourteous neighbors are. As a ‘dog person,‘ I actually find ’cat people’ to be the most obnoxious, rude, self-centered and pretentious dip-wads walking. I can honestly say that I have never gotten along with a single ‘cat person’ in my life.

As for valuing the life of an animal over that of a human, yes, it’s quite easy. Humans have the ability to bring out unbridled hatred in one another through their deceitful, hurtful, manipulative words and actions. Animals do not. They simply live their lives and look to us for protection and friendship.

Dogs are the very definition of ‘unconditional love.’ To a dog, everyday is like Christmas. They don’t ask for much, but the joy, loyalty and companionship they offer in return is more than virtually any human could offer. They don’t have ulterior motives. They’re not looking to screw you over. They don’t hold grudges. They don’t judge you. They simply want to be part of the family.

The reason some of us get so bent out of shape over stories like this is because the animal is the only innocent one in this case. That puppy doesn’t have a clue what it did wrong, but it ended up suffering the most as a result of two idiot humans who can‘t respect one another’s property.

Seriously, who hurts a puppy? How sick in the head do you have to be to injure an innocent animal that has no concept of property rights and no idea which side of the street is supposedly off-limits?

No, I can’t hate an animal…but I can most definitely hate a person who hurts an animal.

Mr. Sanchez should be thanking his lucky stars that arrest, criminal charges and the opportunity to defend his actions in court are all he’s had to endure thus far. There are many dog owners who would’ve taken the law into their own hands and sentenced him right on the spot.

I grew up on a farm, ya one of them old fashion places that don’t exist anymore except for yuppies. Dogs are a dam animal same as a cow now go eat a burger and save the puppy. People put way to many attachments on their animals, great for you but don’t force your messed up priorities on me!!! When things get bad, you will die and I will make some great stew out of your mutt and enjoy it. Oh and no I can’t spell, gamer, ect… but I can shot a baseball at 400 yard, Skin about any animal in the US, and cook it 100 different ways, I guess that’s a priority I had:) And for the record don’t let your dog, cat loose in my part of the world because if the coyotes don’t get it, I will:) I know and practice the three S’s all you city people can try to figure that one out.

I know exactly how he felt.
Every day, irresponsible dog walkers let their dogs crap all over the place,
literally inches from doorways and in walkways.

I would have shot him if I’d witnessed that. There’s no question, he‘d be a dead man if I’d seen that.

Poor dog…..But you hope the guy dies iin prison…? A very strange thing to wish on someone who simply injured a little puppy….Granted he is probably an A**hole, but wow….death to those who injure dogs in a fit of rage….

I think we should throw him in the air and see if he lands on his two feet!! Some people are so vile – it’s no wonder I like animals more then humans.
