Ahmadinejad: Netanyahu ‘Skilled Killer,‘ Iran Has ’No Interest’ in Nuclear Bomb

In an interview with Larry King on Wednesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “skilled killer” who “should be put on trial for killing women and children” and for “putting Gaza under siege.” He also denied that Iran has any interest in acquiring a nuclear bomb.

In response to King’s question wondering if Iran was worried that Israel might take preemptive action against Iran if it thought Iran would acquire and use a nuclear weapon, Ahmadinejad unleashed a tirade against Netanyahu:

After attacking Netanyahu, Ahmadinejad went on to deny that Iran wants to acquire a nuclear bomb, and hinted that such an idea is a conspiracy created by Israel. “No one expresses fear about Iran’s nuclear activities in the region except the Zionist regime and some American authorities,” he told King. He later called for the disarmament of Israel and the U.S.

He added: “We are not seeking the bomb, we have no interest in it, and we do not think that it is useful.”

Instead, he said, “the threat to the world are the bombs that the U.S. government and the Zionist regime have.” As a CNN article about the interview points out, Iran refuses to refer to Israel by name, calling it instead “the Zionist regime.”

That’s at least a little more reserved than the other phrase Ahmadinejad used to refer to Israel: “illegitimate, war-waging country”:

Ahmadinejad is currently in New York for the U.N. General Assembly meetings. His country sits on the Commission on Women’s Rights.

UPDATE:

In contrast to Ahmadinejad’s assertion that Israel poses a threat to the world and that Netanyahu is a “skilled killer,” President Obama will deliver remarks to the U.N. today in support of Israel.

“It should be clear to all that efforts to chip away at Israel’s legitimacy will only be met by the unshakeable opposition of the United States,” the president is expected to say, according to excerpts of the speech obtained by NBC News. “And efforts to threaten or kill Israelis will do nothing to help the Palestinian people — the slaughter of innocent Israelis is not resistance, it is injustice.”

    I’manutjob is lying, I can tell because his lips are moving. This Iranian puppet will lie to his own mother if it would please the powers that be in Iran. We need to stop letting this kind of scum in our country! Iran is racing full throttle towards nuclear weapons and millions of people are still buying I‘manutjob’s lies. God help us if they become a nuclear weapon owning country.

    Once again, Mr. Ahmadinejad has lied. As we speak, the Iranian people are protesting him and his terroistic policies. When they marched in the streets against his ‘government, they were beaten, killed and jailed. Then, they were stripped of the use of their cell phones and the internet, so that the rest of the world wouldn’t know how thoroughly the Iranian people hate their tyrannical leader. Now, this egotistical bully wants the world to believe that he is the greatest leader in the world. In one speech, he threatens Israel, the US and any European country who dare take action against him. Then, he says he’s a peaceful man who only wants a peaceful world. Tell me, Mr Ahmadinejad, how long did it take you to invent the internet, the light bulb, the cell phone, the refrigerator…indoor plumbing? You would have none of those things – or any other convenience if the Americans and European countries hadn’t invented them. You are simply a small man that desires power. You make nothing, you do nothing, you promote hatred toward Jews, Infidels and any Muslim who disagrees with you, then threaten the world with your bombs. The citizens in this world who love their countries have learned a very important lesson from you. You appreciate nothing, so the inventions of the future will not be shared with you and other tyrannical leaders all over the world. When the internet and you cell phones become obsolete, you will have only yourself to blame. Having scientists that make bombs doesn’t make them inventors. It simply makes all of you evil.

    Nuclear power is political power, but yet it is not useful? Nuclear arms have changed the face of war to one that treads lightly in the presence of other nuclear powers and only invades small countries and third world nations that are not endowed with this political power. Everyone fears the big red button. It is in essence a big stick to shake at your neighbors. It is protection at the very least. Though, some people are not qualified to wield this stick, and some people will use it. Like this guy. It’s not useful? Give me a break.

      hey thinker we dont want war, but we shouldnt put up with the threats this nut puts out. hes told the world he wants to destroy isreal and america. what are we to do, wait for us to get hit again? whos gonna die this time? how many americans are you willing to give up? im not willing to let any more americans die. not by terrorists and not by that nut case. peace through stringth. be the biggest and baddest on the block and let everyone know we wont put up with any of it.

    I firmly object to this mentally unstable human being given any airtime here. He should be the target of one of Mr. Obama’s assassination squads. If they kill Israelis, it’s justified. If Israelis fight back or defend themselves, they are skilled killers. Seeing as how Iran is their neighbor, I think it’s a good thing if they are skilled killers!

      @Contrarianthinker Theres nothing wrong with seeking a peaceful resolution but after a time you have to accept the other side only wants to stall for time allowing them to compleate there plans. Understanding Ahmadinejad is simple. He oppreses his own people, hates Isreal going so fars as to deny history and beleaves in trying to bring the world to war to begain the end times.

    When is enough going to be enough with this very dangerous group.
    They have actually made such fools of all the past administrations that the Arab world really does believe that we are weak. I feel the only reason Isreal has not struck is because they know it may well bet the end of all of it. Syria, Saudia Arabia, etc. are obliged to jump in if and when they strick Iran. They just keep piling it on. And we let these animals live and work here..and speak at the UN, whic really should be moved to France, anyway.

      i dont know why we havent turned that country into a sheet of glass. if i was prez id give them 15 minutes to put our citizens on a plane or id bomb them so far back into the stone age they be clicking rocks together to start fires. we should of taken care of these nutjobs back when they had our hostages. we all know they dont have anyone who can shoot straight or fight worth a frigg. wed be doing the people of iran a favor by bombing all of their military bases and houses of the government people. they would be too busy trying to put their country out to ever threaten us again.
