Airline Passenger Who Peed on 11-Year-Old Revealed as U.S. Ski Team Member

This is how the New York Post sums up the case of Robert “Sandy” Vietze — the drunk airline passenger who this week peed on an 11-year-old girl during flight: “He probably just pissed away his Olympic dreams.”
See, that’s because the 18-year-old (yes, he was underage drinking) is on the U.S. Ski Team’s developmental roster. That is until yesterday, when his name was removed without explanation.
The Post explains what happened between Vietze and the young girl during a flight from Oregon to New York on Wednesday:
Vietze had taken the red-eye flight from Portland, Ore., to JFK Wednesday on his way home from a weeklong training camp with the US Ski Team at Mount Hood in Oregon.
It was lousy luck for his young victim, who was flying with her sister and cancer-stricken father on a trip to see her grandmother on eastern Long Island for the first time since his diagnosis.
Soon after takeoff, Vietze stumbled from his seat five rows behind the child and emptied his bladder onto the girl, who was briefly left alone while her dad and sister were in restrooms.
[...]
The girl’s father, a Stage 4 cancer patient, caught Vietze midstream and tried to wipe him out.
“F- -k that kid. I don’t want him near my family!” he yelled.
Vietze slurred that he had suffered “an accident,” according to another passenger.
Flight attendants had to separate the men.
According to the Post, Vietze has refused to apologize for the incident, allegedly defending his action to police by saying, “I was drunk, and I did not realize I was pissing on her leg.”
He was originally charged with indecent exposure, but federal prosecutors have since dropped the case.

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 11:02amThe term “PEE” or in this case “PEED” is so gay and unserious. This is supposedly a “news” article, so why not use the word “URINATED”?

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 11:41amIf this had been my little girl I would have had a simple choice — turn him into a eunich or a gelding. There should be no mercy for the inexcusable actions of this man; and somehow I can see the fact of the defense attorneys trying to turn this on the father for daring to use the restroom and for being a stage 4 cancer case.

Skiing isn’t what it used to be.
With the inclusion of the snowboarders and “trick” skiing,
we also got the drunken, dope smoking, baggy pants, tattooed, team members.
I don‘t think you’ll find this guy in the downhill.
What do you expect?

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 10:53amThat is so liberal entitlement mentality. He should be charged not only with indecent exposure, but public intoxication, underage liquor consumption, assault on a minor, etc. But what did the feds do? They let this lowlife off re-enforcing his bad behavior was acceptable. Our country is filled with such liberal entitled parasites that no one is safe. I hope tax payer money isn’t going to the olympic committee.

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 10:43amWhat a jerk! Prosecute him and his parents! And as a minor, who allowed him the alcohol? Prosecute them as well!
Since our “justice” department will not prosecute him, I sincerely hope the father takes him to court for absolutely everything! This arrogant drunk should spend significant time in jail as well as lose his place on any ski or sports team – present or future – and be barred from participating as an individual in any ski or other sport competition!
What a jerk – and his parents for raising such an arrogant jerk!

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 11:23amHey “Truth” That may sound like a ‘conservative’ statement you are making, but it’s not. You‘re just angry at something and that’s emotion speaking, not anything based on conservative principles.. Prosecute the parents? For what? He‘s 18 and he’s responsible for his actions on the plane and anywhere else. Your way of thinking is dangerous, and disingenuous. You will just as easily go along with some over-reaching government rule in the name of ‘security’ and ‘safety’.. but the end result is more government intrusion and tampering with society.

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 12:20pmDon’t judge the parents whom you do not know…I have seen many parents try to raise their kids right only to have them go the opposite way. Once the child grows up they are responsible for their actions.

Posted on August 12, 2011 at 10:29amWhy would they drop the charges? One of the reasons most athletes are a-h—- today, is because they aren’t held responsible for their actions. Screw the kid – he belongs in jail for a few months.

Her father with cancer expects special treatment simply because is a little under the weather and provoked him I am sure too. I bet he was one of those darn angry white male tea partiers on his way to the gun shop who was late for another racist rally.
