‘Al-Qaeda: Coming Soon Again in New York’: Leaked Graphic Sparks Fears

A mock movie poster published on an Arab-language forum is sparking a police investigation. The image, which reads, “Al-Qaeda: Coming Soon Again in New York,” is being investigated by the NYPD Intelligence Division’s cyber unit, although authorities claim there’s no evidence that it constitutes an actual threat.
The image first appeared on Monday on Arab language Al-Qaeda forums. USA Today has more about the image in question:
The graphic shows the Manhattan skyline at sunset with “Al Qaeda” in bold type followed by “Coming Soon Again in New York.” [...]
New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne says the overseas, Arab-language Internet site posted the graphic on its “artwork and design” page.
FBI spokesman J. Peter Donald says the agency takes all threats seriously and “there is no specific or credible threat to New York.”
Interestingly, cops believe that it was posted by an Egyptian writer who regularly uses the Internet to post propaganda for al-Qaeda.
“We’ve done an analysis. He’s not an American. We’re leaning toward (him being) an Egyptian, using Arabic, to create communications on this site,” Brown said.
While it is, of course, pertinent that the NYPD and authorities would be investigating the image’s origins, threats to New York have been rampant since the September 11 attacks. The image, which makes for no bombshell surprise (after all, New York City remains a target of terror groups), does cause some to wonder how well America’s borders are protected.
In February, Glenn Beck covered horrific issues occurring along the U.S.-Mexican border, while highlighting fears over Hezbollah’s potential to smuggle WMDs into the U.S. Considering these elements, it’s the potential lack of border security, not just the graphic, that might be worth paying more attention to.

When you quoted me the first time you left out a key word. Idea. You cannot go to war with an idea. You cannot fight against an idea. You cannot destroy an idea. Why? Because it’s not a person. It’s not a group of people. It is an intangible thing. So while you try to go to war with and eradicate a religion you perceive as evil, the only thing you will end up destroying is yourself. Or are we quick to forget what Jesus taught us? Love thy enemy. Or do you not care about the right thing? The only thing I take it you care about is eradication.
Withdrawing back to the home front is not submitting. Denouncing genocide is not submitting. It’s doing the right thing. If we stay out of their business than they will stay out of ours. We have been over there screwing things up for them for a hundred years. It’s not being anti-American, it’s being HONEST. That’s why they are pissed at us and want to hurt us. If we leave them alone for once they will go back to not hating us with every drop of their blood. Or maybe they will be too preoccupied killing themselves to care about us. An utterance like this proves you lack an understanding of rise and spread of Islam in Arabia and its subsequent spread throughout the region and into Europe and Western China over the last 1,400 years.
Jihad is NOT a response. Jihad is the process through which their culture and civilization is propagated. It is a process, not a response. Ruminate on that. Recall Indonesia and the peaceful Buddhists who did nothing to invite Jihad but they got it just the same. Because Jihad is a process not a response.

It is an easy thing to see, that terrorists are already here and sleeping until awoken. This could be a nightmare for large cities. I think these so called ‘sanctuary’ cities will go up in flames, I would love to see the faces of the liberals when that happens. Sad to say that though, as lots of people could be killed and/or hurt, it’s a travesty of justice. Couple that with the out of control debt, devaluing of our dollar (on purpose), OWS anarchist tip of the communist spear, and NBPP, we are in for a hellish 2012 IMO…if you’re not prepared now, you better get off your cans and do it NOW! Ok name one Islamic nation that can attack us at home outside of a terrorist attack. We all know that our overseas warmongering doesnt stop terrorists. Hell if anything it creates terrorists.
So lets break this down.
1. Overseas wars cannont prevent homeland terrorist attacks. Can we agree on that?
2. Overseas wars are bankrupting us. Can we agree on that?
3. If we continue to blow up accidentally children of Islamic men are they going to be mad at us or the leaders of the country we are bombing? If they turn their rages against us are they more likely to pick up a gun, plant a ied, or commit a terrorist attack against us or no?
4. Did Osama bin Laden say on CBS that he was going to bring his war to our homeland because we were occupying Saudi Arabia and we killed 100 thousand Iraqi children?
I would love to hear you answers to these questions.
