Al Sharpton Blasts Santorum and the GOP‘s ’Mad Rush to its Extreme White Wing’

During his Wednesday broadcast, MSNBC host Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the following zinger, or perhaps, slip of the tongue when slamming GOP presidential contender Rick Santorum for his views on contraceptives, abortion and same-sex marriage.

“The Republican party has been in a mad rush to its extreme white wing.”

According to the controversial reverend, Santorum has long been waiting for such a moment.

The video clip, courtesy of Newsbusters, follows below. Did Sharpton deliberately make the comment or was it an innocent misstep. Decide for yourself:

    Excuse me…you ask most blacks why they voted for Obummer and they tell you—because he is black! What’s this garbage (no pun intended for Al) about the GOP racing to its extreme ‘white wing’?

      I really believe it was another classic Sharpton “Ebonics” moment. He is obviously the victim of an inner city public school. He, at his advanced age, has yet to master the English language. It’s amazing to me that any media outlet would give air time to someone who is so woefully unable to communicate fluently.He is a genuine embarrassment to himself and the people who consider him an asset.       Still plenty of time for all of the conservatives to support Santorum. Seems to be Santorum or Romney. New Hampshire and South Carolina will show us more clearly how Santorum does in a primary (as opposed to a caucus) election. My guess is that Limbaugh is right as regards Paul — he won’t fare so well in the primary states. Exception being, of course, where his campaign has done their work where others have dropped the ball — Virginia comes to mind.

His hatred of people is only dwarfed by the gaping maw that is his checkbook.
