Al Sharpton Threatens Civil Disobedience if George Zimmerman Not Arrested

With the Trayvon Martin story, Al Sharpton may have found his key back into the limelight – or at least, he’s gambling what remains of his reputation on it as though he has. Now, Sharpton has involved his National Action Network in the controversy, and has threatened the city of Sandford, Florida, with increased civil disobedience if Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, isn’t arrested soon. This could include boycotts and other economic “sanctions.” The Boston Herald reports:

“I will speak about how the National Action Network will move to the next level if Zimmerman isn’t arrested,” Sharpton said, who founded the organization. He added that it was the Martin family and lawyers who first asked him to get involved and nationalize this story.[...]

“Whether he (Zimmerman) had a swollen or broken nose, neither one means he had to take a 9 mm and kill someone,” he said. “It’s not about saying Zimmerman is innocent or guilty, this is about whether there was probable cause to arrest him.”

He criticized the way authorities have released information about the case and said they are setting a harmful precedent, he said.

Sharpton first made the warning in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel. Further details on this disobedience could come as soon as tomorrow. With Zimmerman’s story increasingly being called into question, Sharpton may well get his wish, though hopefully any arrest that does come will come not because of economic blackmail, but rather because of information uncovered by the grand jury.

    On Friday, December 8, at 10:12 a.m., Roland James Smith, Jr., 51, a Harlem resident with a criminal record going back 30 years, walked into Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned clothing store at 272 West 125th Street, pulled out a gun, ordered all the black customers to leave, spilled paint thinner on several bins of clothing and set them on fire — a fire that resulted in killing 8 people including Smith.

    Smith had been part of a group of picketers, led by Al Sharpton , head of the National Action Network and Morris Powell , leader of the 125th Street Vendor’s Association, who had been protesting the eviction of Sikhulu Shange, owner of the Record Shack who was subletting from Fred Harari, the Jewish owner of Freddy’s.

      The hell it doesn’t. Everbody is missing the obvious. Because he was being followed and observed by a watch captain whose job it was to monitor the neighborhood for suspicious people and activity, due to numerous crimes that had occurred here, didn’t justify his physical attack. This black thug put his life in danger when he elected to attack Zimmerman. The assault was completely uncalled for.

      Keep in mind also, that Zimmerman told the police that the perp was acting suspicious. He was walking between resiences instead of on the sidewalk.

      There‘s a good chance this black perp would have done some deadly damage if he had continued beating Zimmerman’s head against the concrete. His screams for help alone tell more about this story than anything else. I really don’t think Zimmerman has to use the stand-your-ground-law as a defense, because he would be justified in shooting the perp, because he felt he was going to be killed.

      One such case in the Tampa Bay area, before stand-your-ground was enacted, involved two white guys, wherein one was the aggressor and the other kept back peddling as he was getting beaten, yelling to be left alone….to no avail. So he pulled a gun and shot his attacker. It took the jury 30 minutes to find him not guilty. Self defense has always been a valid defense without the stand-your-ground law.

      I just now picked up on why Al and every black talking head on t.v. is screaming to arrest Zimmerman.

      Without an arrest this is a big example to people nationwide who will be victims of black violence that they can shoot the perp and be within their rights if they are in fear of serious bodily injury or death.

      Al foresees other killings, because he’s fully aware that teenage blacks have a tremendously high rate of crime, mostly involving violence. They’re involved in an epidemic of flash mob attacks and much crime, most of which involves assaults and murders. The black talking heads are hysterical that Zimmerman is still free.

      I‘m pretty sure Al’s main concern is that it will be open season on violent teenage blacks if victims think they won’t go to jail for protecting themselves, so he‘s screaming hysterically for Zimmerman’s arrest even though the evidence supports Zimmerman’s account of how the attack unfolded.

      Sharpton and others have subtly shifted their ground. First it was that Zimmerman chased Martin down and shot him because he was black, and he should be thrown in jail for murder. Now that there is credible evidence to the contrary, the current position is that he should be arrested in the meantime, anyway.

      No lesser person than the Attorney General decided not to do so because of a lack of evidence. There will be a grand jury but that also does not automatically require Zimmerman’s arrest.

      This case has been so tainted by these people, who have a political or, God help us, commercial interest in keeping the pot boiling, that I am beginning to wonder if Zimmerman has any hope of getting a fair trial.

      What I do know is that, whatever the outcome, he is in grave personal danger. And the risk of subsequent riots, fanned by Sharpton and his ilk, is considerable.

      You should consider anything that Sharpton says to be deeply suspect, based on his previous utterances.

      Yes, there‘s definitely been a shift in Sharton’s demands, and it HAS transitioned from one form to another, but the underlying hysteria among them all right now is that Zimmerman was not arrested. Sharpton can see that as a danger to other perps in these kinds of confrontations, and he’s right.

      But there are still quite a few of those among the black….and white leadership…..who are STILL claiming
      Zimmerman hunted Martin down and killed him. The latest was….of all people….Mike Huckabee, on the O’Reilly Factor, whose face turned grim and hateful nearly spitting out his contempt that Martin was followed and shot.

      Several people here have mentioned the Tawana Brawley debacle and the La Cross injustice as being scammed by Sharpton, but the Jena six beatings were even a worse example than either of those. Sharpton succeeded in depicting a criminal perp (Michael) as a victim, and the willing press, as in this case, lied about everything as much as Sharpton did.

      In that case Sharpton was incensed because this Michael perp was arrested after he..and 5 others… almost stomped an innocent kid to death.

      The major problem facing Black people the World over is the deep sense on inferiority.
      This is not all their fault having been treated as underclass or second class throughout history by all countries which started in Africa by the early Colonies. But it is their fault for not taking advantage of ever opportunity to better themselves. Failure is so ingrained in their psychic that it is almost too late for them. The very though of their leader as once again a failure is just beyond their ability to deal with.       Why do people like Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Spike Lee, almost all of the media, etc., etc., etc., not realize that they are promoting vigilante justice like they are accusing George Zimmerman of? IF Mr. Zimmerman is found not guilty (if this case goes to trial), what then? Are we to cower in our homes in fear? Is the Florida justice system to arrest and convict him in fear that something terrible happens? There is a growing “silent majority” in this country that are fed up with this nonsence. This is exaclty why gun and ammo sales have skyrocketed. We do have the right to protect ourselves from outlaws. Why isn;t anyone talking about the justice for Bryan Terry (Fast and Furious), as there have been no arrests after more than a year on that case?

      He is intentionally giving his team of agitators a free pass to incite as much commotion and division as quickly as possible so as to distract from the fall election. He knows he has polarized the nation and set us back 3 or 4 decades in race relations by endorsing this kind of insanity. If he had class and the best interest of the USA he would denounce such blatant b.s. from “ Al Sharptongue”
      Reading a smattering of comments in the vast majority of these articles has me convinced 1) we are hinging on an all out class and racial warfare and spring or summer it may commence thanks to Obama 2) many people are desensitized/ignorant to what has been going on for years; the slow but subtle chipping away at our morals and values so worldwide we are ripe for the picking. In other words our overall acceptance of the bad that has replaced the good has made for a very fertile landscape to sow the wrath and hate and allow an opportunity for potentially a worldwide holocaust and Obama and his team possess the matchbook to ignite it beginning right here and right now. For all we know Obama is sponsored by our enemy. We did this to ourselves and it will take almost a miracle to undo the damage.

      Sharpton, Jackson and Obama are racist Chickenhawks.

      They will get the young people killed, but will sit behind secret service men and women.

      Obama is a rich fat cat pimp who gave **** back to his community. Now he will sacrifice young blacks, white and hispanics to gain political ground. The only upside is the increase in legally armed citizens.

      The Chickenhawks need to be given a spot on the front line.

    I‘ll promise you that if Zimmerman is arrested the next threat will be that if he isn’t convicted ,we will have the same civil disobedience. What Sharpton thinks he’s become is the leader of the BLACK KKK. Isn’t this a lynching, in a way. The line has been crossed by those professing justice.
    The amount of violence that results will be determined by the outcome of what they want. This same nonsense will appear around election season. Hints of civil strife if the election is stolen by those evil racists.

      Reverend Al is going to stir up all this unrest, but he will retreat behind his gate to his mansion when TSHTF. It will be the poor blacks who see their communities ransacked and burned. It will be JUST like Los Angeles—-and there are neighborhoods there which still don’t have grocery stores.

      If, however, the blacks in Florida or any of the other southen states decide to take their anger out on white, hispanic, Asian, or East Indian people—good luck.

      I went to a gun show recently, and it was packed. I live in Florida. People were buying shotguns, military style rifles, and cases of ammunition. I saw more than a few people leaving with two cases of AK ammo. I went to the shooting range Monday morning. I’ve never seen it so busy. Lots of white people zeroing rifles—and mostly AR and AK pattern rifles.

      This is not the place to start riots. Trust me. And when it happens, and there are dead blacks in the streets, the blood shall be on the hands of Revs Al and Jesse, and the MSM.

      Adding more blood in the street is NO way to solve the problem.

      Defend yourself and your household, but don’t go looking for trouble. This is exactly what Van Joens and the Prez want. They want a race war so they can finish off the Republic. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are dupes for the evil men trying to ruin the country.

      This is not what Dr King died for. He must be so ashamed of these men as he looks down fm Heaven.

They need to be boycotted by everyone who has any dealings with any products, news organizations or any people who are catering to these people. Do not cater to these people who are using this incident to take their anger out on the people of this country to are just working and trying to live. Do take serious the threat of idiots and do not trust the fact that that bunch in D.C. will be of any assistance to anyone who does not vote Democrats. This is basically a political upheavel in the guise of people who are grieving for some kid they do not even know and likely do not give a rat’s azz about. These people would strip their own parents of life if it would benefit “the cause.” These people are like hypnotized automotons who are just doing what everyone else is doing.

      Last time the National Guard was called out, they shot white students at Kent State University. Meanwhile, the blacks were burning down neighborhoods across the country. The students were against the Viet Nam War. The blacks were against the whites. They used water cannons against the blacks. They used live ammo against the students.

      Anyway…the National Guard is probably still deployed to Afghanistan.

    I watched Rev Al for a few lat night and thought he was being reasonable even in light of claiming no injuries in the video. I was hopeful that it would not deteriorate to…”even if he does have a busted up nose…it doesn’t matter”…

    BTW. The parents and Atty Crump called Rev Al for help in bringing this case to the public.
