Federal Judge Blocks Alabama’s New Immigration Law

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A federal judge temporarily blocked enforcement of Alabama’s new law cracking down on illegal immigration, ruling Monday that she needed more time to decide whether the law opposed by the Obama administration, church leaders and immigrant-rights groups is constitutional.
The brief order by U.S. District Judge Sharon L. Blackburn means the law won’t take effect as scheduled on Thursday. The ruling was cheered by opponents who have compared the law to old Jim Crow-era statutes against racial integration.
But Blackburn didn’t address whether the law is constitutional, and she could still let all or parts of the law take effect later. The judge said she will issue a longer ruling by Sept. 28.
Instead, she said she needs more time to consider lawsuits filed by the Justice Department, private groups and individuals that claim the state is overstepping its bounds with the law.
Both supporters and opponents say Alabama‘s law is the nation’s toughest against illegal immigration. Among other things, it would require schools to verify the citizenship status of students. Officials say it wouldn’t prevent illegal immigrants from attending public schools.

I don’t know what your price was to sell out but anyone and I mean ANYONE who would block an attempt of a state to protect its soverignty from ILLEGAL CRIMINALS has to have been either paid off or intimidated to do so. So what was YOUR price ? At least We the People now have yet another name to add to our list of traitors to America. Shame on you!

It works both ways, and gives the society breathing room before a new law goes into effect.
This law is going to require increased taxes. It needs to be proven 100% legitimate and constitutional before we raise taxes.

Perry: Pay No Attention to That Amnesty Supporter Behind the Curtain!
Rick Perry’s letter earlier this month to DHS Secretary Napolitano demanding $349 million in compensation for having to house illegal-alien criminals is, I’m afraid, a political stunt — basically, shooting a coyote to distract attention from his bad immigration track record. And there’s a lot to distract attention from:
Perry supports amnesty for the illegal-alien population, wanting to relabel them “temporary” workers, while playing the same semantic game as other amnesty supporters in denying that his amnesty is an amnesty.
Report Post »Ten years ago he signed into law a measure offering taxpayer-funded in-state tuition subsidies for illegal aliens attending state universities (something he still supports).
He opposes the use of E-Verify even in hiring for state agencies. When challenged last year in a gubernatorial debate, he replied “E-Verify would not make a hill of beans’ difference when it comes to what’s happening in America today.”
He opposes fencing on the border, creating a false choice between fencing and personnel; as he said in his third inaugural speech: “We must secure the border with manpower, not unmanned walls.”… http://cis.org/krikorian/Perry-amnesty-supporter-behind-the-curtain

If Obama stays in or they get someone else like him, and they can outlast the other judges…in all honesty..I don’t know how many more they need to overthrow our Constitution entirely. I was given information along with our Constitution it that supposedly states how judges can be removed..At least that is what I was told. There are anti- ACLU attorneys. Posted on August 29, 2011 at 4:42pmNew World Order theory goes something like this. The American people are to be dumbed down through immigration of people with IQs in the 80s, and are to be made less cohesive through the mixing of the races. This sets the stage for a crisis where a small segment of society assumes authoritarian power and subjugates what remains of the American people. Henry Ford saw this coming and wrote an insightful and well reasoned series of papers on the subject two decades before the holocaust.
“In simple words, the question of the Jews has come to the fore, but like other questions which lend themselves to prejudice, efforts will be made to hush it up as impolitic for open discussion. If, however, experience has taught us anything it is that questions thus suppressed will sooner or later break out in undesirable and unprofitable forms.”
For those who honestly want to ‘question with boldness’ what is really being done to American society, and why, Mr. Ford’s perspective from 90 years ago is something to consider.

They are not ALLOWED to ask for IMMUNIZATION cards, nationality, or anything of that nature. All they have to do is provide a current utility bill with an address that is within the school zone….English as a Second Language is now part of the general curriculum where I graduated from school only 8 years ago. It has happened that fast….Somone said above that it will mainly act as a deterrent. I hope that is all that it is. My only concern is this….when this bill does get passed in some form, I hope that all of those people complaining about the illegal’s taking jobs and living off of our tax dollars put their money where their mouth is. I better see a lot of middle class America doing manual labor that the illegals are so famous for down here in the South.

We need to start reinserting self-government. The Founders believed and said, that congress has much of an equal right to interpret the constitution as the courts do. The founders knew they had to have a court system, but they looked on the system with foreboding. They knew that the courts were the primary danger to the Republic they were establishing.

The states control how they are treated and what they can and can’t do when they come into any particular state. Because once the criminal and they are criminals cross the arbitrary line that is the international border then it becomes a state issue.
The only thing that feds control is the international borders not what happens inside the states.
I do not understand the never end need of the feds to over step their authority.
