Alabama Takes a Stand Against Soros-Backed ‘Agenda 21’

Alabama Takes a Stand Against Soros Backed Agenda 21Although the U.N.’s George Soros-backed plan for “Sustainable Development” (also known as “Agenda 21”) seems to have gone largely unnoticed by many Americans, the shadowy, backdoor attack on personal property rights didn’t slip past the people of Alabama.

“Alabama recently passed Senate Bill 477 unanimously in both of its houses. The legislation bars the taking of private property in Alabama without due process,” Investor’s Business Daily reports.

The bill specifically states the following:

Alabama and all political subdivisions may not adopt or implement policy recommendations that deliberately or inadvertently infringe or restrict private property rights without due process, as may be required by policy recommendations originating in or traceable to Agenda 21.

But let’s back up for a bit and talk more about “Agenda 21.” If you haven’t heard of it, you owe it to yourself to read up on it. Simply put, it’s an international initiative that overrides personal property rights all in the name of the environment and “sustainability.”

Here’s a good rundown via The Blaze’s Mike Opelka:

Agenda 21 is a two-decade old, grand plan for global ’Sustainable Development,’ brought to you from the United Nations. George H.W. Bush (and 177 other world leaders) agreed to it back in 1992, and in 1995, Bill Clinton signed Executive Order #12858, creating a Presidential Council on ‘Sustainable Development.’ This effectively pushed the UN plan into America’s large, churning government machine without the need for any review or discussion by Congress or the American people.

[…]

The seeds for Agenda 21 were planted back in 1987 when the writings of Gro Harlem Brundtland (a woman who was first Vice-President of the Socialist International) caught the eye of the UN. Dr. Brundtland wrote a report for the UN called, ‘Our Common Future’ eventually got into the business of environmentalism as a tool to control all the people of the world and establish a global government. The growth of ICLEI [International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives] and the framework being put in place by supporters of Agenda 21 appear to be bringing Dr. Brundtland’s ideas closer to reality

As mentioned in the above, “Agenda 21” is little more than an all-out attack on personal property rights. Indeed, as Opelka notes, the body that drafted the initiative (the U.N.) has openly and without hesitation stated its opposition property rights:

Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole.*

Oh, and if that’s not reason enough to be wary of the U.N.’s “sustainability” project, consider the following: “In 1997, George Soros’s Open Society gave ICLEI a $2,147,415 grant to support its Local Agenda 21 Project.”

But despite the slow and steady growth of the project in the United States, Alabama proves that, contrary to what some would have you believe, not everyone’s asleep at the wheel.

However, even though Alabama’s Senate Bill 477 will be viewed by many as a victory over “Agenda 21,” it doesn’t mean that the U.N. or the Feds are anywhere near through with their “sustainable” agenda. In fact, Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson will attend the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development later this month in Rio de Janeiro, IBD reports.

“Specifically, in a transition to a green economy, public policies will need to be used strategically to reorient consumption, investments and other economic activities,” a U.N. document describing the conference explains.

“We don’t need ‘environmental governance,’” IBD writes, “just a governance of, by and for the people of the United States.”

“Nor do we need to ‘reorient’ our consumption and economic activities. Alabama has just told the U.N. and the EPA what they need to be told — don’t tread on us,” the report concludes

Hopefully they will get with the program and pass similar legislation. I imagine though, Holder will add this to the other lawsuits he has going against Arizona.

I agree. Contact Congressman Paul Gosar of AZ 1st District and let him know. There’s a big mining deal happening here and with the fluoride polutants involved & a billion $ at stake for the state with Jan Brewer’s & Sheriff Joe’s epic battles with the current administration… we are in for a devilishly bumpy ride!

Stand up for what is right and though we may be demonized and rounded up someday, I’ll look forward to the day we get to meet and encourage one another on to the end.

Unfortunately for AZ the Gov. in 1999 signed on to the sustainable development on June 1, 1999. The only way out is to get the legislature to back it all out, but it has already screwed up house construction and permitting processes in the state running up the costs to build dramatically. Even to the point of requiring licensed people do almost anything on a house.

The solution is Very Simple : if 10% of the American Population, that is 30 Million of real Patriots ,would Unite and * UNITED WE STAND * * UNITED WE ARE THE POWER * , only a Fool would come against us . That 10% would be the most powerful organization against the Enemy ,foreign and domestic ; there is no military organization of that size on this planet ; obama`s army ,black panthers, tsa,and all the rest of craps on obama`s side would be running and ******* on their pants; all the 10% has to do is to * STAND TALL * and say NO to obama`s distorted mentality.

30 Million American Patriots * UNITED WE STAND * it is all it takes to CLEAN UP the garbage .
Now ……how difficult is to achieve this idea ???? It is matter of being a FREE man in a free Nation or become a slave. Please pass the idea of the 10% around. Thanks.

I think we’ve all been harping on the dangers of Agenca21 and it goes unnoticed by everyone except those on this site that understand individual rights. Personal property rights are the most important law the Founding Fathers knew would guarantee freedom and prosperity for this country’s citizens. And thanks to G.H.W. Bush and Clinton and George W. and Obama we‘re being coerced into forfeiting those rights under the guise of sustainable development plans enacted by local townships and cities that I’ll bet the leaders in those areas don’t even understand. This is one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation ever! And second to it is Hilary‘s recent signing of the Small Arms Treaty with the U’.N. Throw in the U.N.. trying to take control of the internet and is there any more of a reason to get rid of these thugs that are obviously trying to take control of our lives?

Basically attempting to buy up lands in the guise of saving nature for the public’s use. Sure. Maybe it’s legit. Currently (per there web site) they have “acquired” 91 tracks equaling just under 228,000 acres. She could use some conditioner. Other than that I agree with her.
Maybe she will be labeled as a “carpet ******”now.

      @THE_MONK

That is a great vid, You must check out this one as well,,

The use of Technocracy and technocrats (scientists and experts) to establish a new Global Economic System aka New World Order, It is really creating a global NEOFascism for the elites.. The technocrats give legitimacy, just like the Global Warming fraud pushes the world toward Global Tyranny and control. A Technocracy is basically a Government by technicians. aka an economic system to replace capitalism.. Totalitarianism…

This is the goal, Agenda 21 is the strategy…

Good for them. Wow, imagine that George HW Bush agreed to Agenda 21 and Clinton signed an executive order.

It is a pretty sad day in America when State legislatures have to pass laws guaranteeing due process rights. Once upon a time this was a Constitutional guarantee.

So, Alabama decided to enforce the Constitution and rights. It’s about time and a refreshing change from our president.

PEST_NONPATRIOT, You’ve got that right this time. We are apparently leading the way since this administration will ignore the same phrase in the U.S. Constitution.

Best_Patriot – Alabama was the first state to adopt Christmas as a holiday in 1836 and the rest of the states followed suit. You might want to keep your condescending attitude to yourself.
