Alan Grayson Describes GOP Tax Plan: Unemployment & Homelessness

Famous for denouncing “Republicans’ health care plan“ as ”DIE QUICKLY” on the floor of the House of Representatives, Florida Congressman Alan Grayson once again dragged out his big posterboards to characterize the Republicans’ plan for tax cuts.

By Grayson’s account, members of Congress have two options: extending the “Obama tax cuts for the middle class” or extending the “George W. Bush tax cuts for the rich.”

So what can Americans do with their tax savings? Buy mustard. Lots and lots of mustard.

Grayson himself fits into his own “high and mighty” class, ranked the 11th most wealthy member of Congress this year.

I wonder what Grayson will do with his tax savings if the GOP is successful…  donate it all to charity, I’m sure.

P.S. — Did we mention that Alan Grayson lost his re-election bid?

    Unemployment & Homelessness is all the Left has done. The only jobs they have created have been Government jobs, that are paid for by the taxpayers. We have to raise Taxes to pay for these worthless Government jobs, that just waste more and more money that we don’t have.

    oh my god. Oh My God!! OH MY GOD!!!! I’m so tired of Congress!! Alan Grayson represents everything that we hate about ourselves. He is a staunch reminder of what happens when we take a break from eternal vigilance!! That guy made $176,000.00 this year!! Let me rephrase that: WE payed that man $176,000.00 this year!! How do you feel about that? A little gross, maybe?? You should feel gross because WE are going to pay that punch-drunk moron for the rest of his life!!! Isn’t that awesome?!?!?!!

    I suggest:
    -60-70% pay cut for Congress (house AND senate) NOW
    -Congress never again gets to vote itself a raise. EVER
    -No more taxpayer subsidised benefits for Congress (house and senate) NOW
    -Senators and Representatives must acquire and fund their own PRIVATE SECURITY NOW
    -TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS!!! NOW!

      You’ve noted the generational shifts in American politics. In the 60′s the much of the youth was united for change and grew up resenting capitalism and conservative values. We can now see the results of their actions. Fortunately, the tides are shifting. This “center-right” nation is moving further right. Today’s youth is growing up once again resenting an over-bearing government, but this time you are in the wrong seat. The conservative and libertarian movements are more youthful than ever. Take a look around, its the liberal and progressive movement that is “over the hill”. Liberals should hope that they’ve accomplished everything they wanted to, as the ball will be rolling the other direction for many years to come.

      Doesn’t he prove our point?! The pictures he shows are of items that are made by people WHO HAVE JOBS and will continue to produce those things because people are buying the items. Grayson doesn’t talk about what type of jobs he wants to create but my guess is it is government jobs. Yep Mr. Grayson, let’s create 3 million government jobs that will cost more to the rest of us in the long run. EPIC FAIL GRAYSON…EPIC FAIL!!!!!

      Wow. I had no idea you could magically create a job out of thin air for just $30,000 a year! What a genius! So, since the stimulus bill was all used to create jobs and stabilize our economy, we should have right around 25 million new jobs right now! I know, the math is a bit flawed, since that only covers one year of emplyement at half the medain salary…. but if we just have the Fed print about a Trillion dollars a year, we’ll have zero unemployment forever! I can’t believe this guy lost. /s

He feels that all political entities (the elected in the case of USA) are ‘misfits set apart from normal behaviour a culture has for its own standards.”

Obama may do a recess appointment of Andrew Traver a man who advocates the expansion of the prohibited person list to include any person who has ever been treated for any type of mental health issue, to run the BATFE. So it is no surprise that he also supports using digitized medical records in back ground checks. Not only is he a key player in the anti-gun movement, he also favors using gray area regulations to “shut down and imprison gun dealers by any means necessary.”

      How would you lower the debt? Every interview from republicans that were running or in power they never told us what they would cut. All they say is we need to cut intitlement programs. which is about 300 billion. Our debt with interest is 14 trillion. We need to cut everything down. That includes Military,get rid of homeland security, and CID department. that added 2 million government jobs and hasnt stopped attempts on America from terrorists. Military obviously is the most important money we spend. but there is fat to be cut. Military is 1/3 of spending. Plus cost contracts and private contrators is bloating our military spending. Remember when the military cooked its own food? Now the have private companies doing it and twice the cost. The Military Industrial Complex is spending us into oblivion. Why do we have soilders in Germany, South Korea, and other non needed countries? this is waste as far as i can see. lets cut some of it. But more importantly we cannot pay down this countries debt by cutting alone. The only way this country has ever balanced its budget is by creating jobs from small businesses and raising taxes. Now i know Raising taxes is communist,marxist,socialist trick. It must be done. if you think cutting taxes for everyone. which costs 700 billion over ten years is gonna do it. I have one thing for ya. Every time a republican or Democrat has cut taxes. we have either gone into more debt. or ended up raising taxes later on. Reagan did it. George herbert bush did it. and if tax cuts work why do we have almost 10% unemployment right now when we had tax cuts for 8 straight years under bush and tax cuts in the stimulus bill? excatly cause tax cuts dont trickle down. under Bush’s tax cuts the person making 40k a year saw a tax cuts of 6 dollars a week extra. the top 2% or the rich people’s tax cut 5k a week extra. Hows that tax cut working for the middle class? Whom btw built this country and keep it running.

Second what is wrong with tax cuts for every body?Simple math if you make more you get less stolen from you. I guess he wants people that sit around and make $25,000 a year to get $87,000 tax cut, while the hard working “Rich” continue to pay for lazy,drop out, bad decision making slackers.

      What a dolt this moron is. Extend the Obama tax cuts for the middle class? What Obama tax cuts? He has not cut anything. the taxes were cut under Bush and need to be permenantly extended. They would still be the BUSH tax cuts. If congress does not extend them fore everyone the increase will become known as the Obama TAX INCREAES. They largest of all time. Of course, they will try to balme the Republicans for blocking it. they are good at placing blame. But the facts are they have total control of congrdss right now and can extend them for all. Once the Republicans take control of the house in 6 short weeks, they can go for the new “Republican tax cuts” and force Obama’s hand. they can also threaten to reduce or defund some of his favorite programs if he does not come on boars. Of course, if the Republicans winn and the taaxes are reduce, Obama will claim them as his tax cuts in a similar fashion as Clinton did with his “ending welfare as we know it” claim when it was really a republicn effort that forced his hand.

      He fails to point out
      1) All those luxury items are sold by the working class, if the rich don’t buy those expensive cars salespeople lose their jobs.
      2) Why is he talking about people with an average income of 1.3 million when the higher taxes are aimed at people with far, far lower incomes?
      3) Bush cut taxes for the poorest of the poor to zero
      4) $30,000 is NOT a decent wage for a family of 4. It will not keep everyone in clothes, shoes, coats, make credit card payments, car payments, insurance, pay their utilities, etc. and, still have enough to eat out on. Thats pure BS by a rich man wishing to keep the peasants in their place, poor and dependant on the government to educate their children both in grade school and college.

      You should get your facts right before you write a complete page of falsehoods. Yes there are spending cuts that need to be made no question. But, Raising taxes never raises revenue ever… look it up. The tax cuts Bush 43 did got us out after the crash in 2001 caused by 9/11. We got many good years of low unemployment and it only ended because of the housing crisis caused by Barney Frank and the Democrats. Raising taxes always slows growth. You should do serious research and you will see the light, keep an open mind and I guarantee it!
